To be clear, this is over 4500 miles this year, and he has averaged just under 6 minute pace for all of them.

Sounds like something Droddy would do...so...

That was my exact guess too.

I can understand all of these “slower” guesses because it is typically the borderline BQers who hammer everyday like this. 4500 is a LOT of miles though. This guy has to be sub 2:30. Maybe 2:22?
2:45. Guessing it is a trick question. He probably hasn't raced a marathon in a few years.

You would think so! However, his PR is roughly 2:42-2:44. Not giving the exact time to defend the identity a bit.
Keep in mind the runs are all in next%s too so they're really like 6:10 pace or something I bet.

Huh. So I guess that would mean I was...right?

Ding ding ding!!! I declare you the winner.
I have questions...
How many miles did they run last year (2019)?
Was the marathon early this year or late?
Was the marathon a "virtual" or mass start race?
I assume this person runs the same weekly mileage every week? No build-up to high mileage with months of low mileage recovery?
Are most of the runs doubles. Do they do any long runs?
But I guessed 2:45. If his PR is 2:44, I am the winner.

How many miles does he get out of a pair of Next%? At $200+ per pair and 400-500 miles per pair adds up quick.
