Going to Chicago tomorrow and was hoping for good places to run near Glenview and Wyndham Suites Hotel. I was thinking about using a track one day but if its not available anywhere that doesn't have bad traffic would work. Thanks!

the wyndham backs up onto the desplaines river forest preserve which has its own trail. there is also a trail system along the skokie lagoons a few miles east of your hotel. as for tracks, most of the local high schools have nice outdoor facilities. the closest to you would be glenbrook south, located here:
enjoy
Go to this website. www.cararuns.org Go under places to run. Try to get to the city along the lake. Best place to run in the US. There are running stores such as Universal Sole and Fleet Feet that offer fun runs during the week. Contact them if you want to run with people.
Stay away from downtown. It is way too congested and not a lot of fun. I would recommend what the other poster said about the Skokie Lagoons or even the North Branch forest preserve trail. It is very nice up in that area, and you can run for quite a long time on some well groomed horse trails. It ends at the Botanical gardens. Very nice training route. If you were looking to travel a little longer, probably about 15-20 minutes in traffic, I would highly recommend the School House forest preserve up in Libertyville. That is a very nice gravel path which you could run on forever.
