I'm on Zoom all day with kids, mostly low and low-ish income. Have a bunch of working-class families that live in not-so-nice homes, parents work multiple jobs, etc.
Also have a bunch of do-nothing layabout parents living in public housing mansions. I'm not kidding...these are 4 story townhouses on prime downtown real estate. They are $1M+ properties. Better than what my wife and I can afford on two decent incomes.
The parents literally lay in bed all day, leaving their (many) children unsupervised. Kids tell me the parents are "tired from partying."
Fake story, there's no such thing as a four story townhouse on prime downtown real estate for $1M+, try four million. Maybe in Buffalo you can buy a townhouse for a million, but that's not "prime" real estate.
Not literally "downtown" as in financial district, but in the nice part of a highly desirable neighborhood. They could be 1.5 million, not sure on the exact square footage.
Brand new, nice appliances, the works. One kid, who was locked in his mother's bedroom all day today (top floor master bedroom) because she had friends over and was partying downstairs, showed me his mom's "dressing room." Literally, a walk-in closet the size of a small bedroom.
I wish I was exaggerating.
