holy cow he's banana bread
Well centro does give off immature vibes
Lol I love centro.
He’s entitled and cocky and I love it.
I honestly wish him the best in his 5k journey and hope he can make a world team again before he retires.
The only person that makes you cringe more than Teare is that Evert kid. I tried to watch some of that Ben Crawford content over lockdown, and I just couldn’t get through it.
Shouldn’t throw stones when living in glass houses.
Lowkey threw shade at Andy Powell and Tanner Anderson too ?
I have a very difficult time accepting this attack by Teare on Centrowitz' running style when this is the same tactical racing that the British and Africans did for years.
Mr. Teare might be interested that the Bannister Sub-4 was tactical...had Bannister blistered through the first two laps without guidance by Chattaway or Brasher, he may have fallen off the pace by the 1300 meter mark.
Michael Stember surprised people in 1995 and Paul Chelimo in the Olympic trials by building insurmountable leads when they needed to, but that shouldn't have been a surprise because that is how people run when they choose to.
Matt Centrowitz is certainly capable of a fast run and can and has made the A standard and has been victorious internationally in the 1500.
If he wants to be tactical (as was Haile, Kipchoge, Mutwol, Hanneck, and even Morceli and El Guerrouj) and only kick when it counts...
I just don't see the problem. Centro is not there to make friends....he's there to win a race. Even Blankenship had respect for him on the track when he helped Centro by clearing a path. This throwing shade on an obvious champion makes no sense.
No desire to listen to that podcast, but am I understanding that someone that has done nothing is throwing shade at an Olympic champion and multiple WC medalist? That's cringe worthy.
Teare hasn't even come close to overlapping with Centro at all. What a turd.

So true. Another armchair qb. Or in this case a juco qb going after Aaron Rodgers.

^^^ I refuse to listen, Teare is a terrible entitled kid.
To whomever said he throws a bit toward Powell and Tanner- how can you even do that. Two great people
SS you gotta stop doing this thing where you crack open the thesaurus to try and sound smart. It doesn’t work if your opinions are still ignorant.
The bottom line is that SOME PEOPLE, maybe rightfully so and maybe unjustly, think Centro is a p**** for dropping into the B Heat to run a tactical race against a 19 year old sophomore in college.
Maybe there’s something to that, but hey, what do I know? After all, I left my thesaurus at home.
I didn't hear it as Teare attacking Cento's running style so much as thinking his teammate deserved to win after doing all of work. Why was Centro in the B heat anyway?
If Shelby Houlihan dropped down to the B heat and won in a kick against inferior runners I think some would also view that as not a fair contest.
The fact of the matter is that MC could lap all of you any track race. I’d bet a couple of you would get lapped multiple times. Put some respect on his name! Olympic gold medalist b*tches!!

He said that he spoke to Andy before he flew back from USA Juniors and they spoke about Andy coming to watch Cooper at World Juniors etc and when he got off the flight he saw on Twitter that Andy was going to UW - basically saying that Andy just straight up didn’t tell him
And then in regards to Tanner he said that Tanner held a team meeting and gave a rara speech about “ducks fly together” and being a team and together after Andy left then a day later announced he was transferring to UW
Ha. I don't pre-plan my posts nor do I look up new vocabulary words. Your disagreement with me doesn't make me any less knowledgeable...
But here's the reality. What Centro did was smart. He needs to get back where he wants to be to compete internationally. He could work on his tactics for the next race in the B heat rather than risk not qualifying in the A.
The manhood of any man here is not the responsibility but that one man, buckeye, and you all need to understand that because none of you is as macho as you seem nor would most of you toe the line in a direct race against Centro.
This is no different than NBA teams scrimmaging college teams. Centro is an Olympic champion. He has earned the right to pick his spots.
If Teare wants to complain, then he should become an international champion.
That is the long and short of it.
lololol didnt even listen what a dummy
“Risk not qualifying” - qualifying for what? He ran 13:32 in the B heat which was far off both of the standards. It’s more likely he didn’t want to get embarrassed by a bunch of college kids. And I’m no basketball fan, but I’ve never heard of the Lakers beating up on some random college team and then bragging about it on Instagram.

Almost as cringeworthy as an Olympic champion barely out-kicking a 19 yo and then bragging about it on Instagram.
