I know its just a fun thing to use Hunter as the focal point for the Tinman bashing and all. I'm not here to debate what you think of the overall coaching and philosophy. I want to speak more on the high school 3:57 miler that has twice recently been beaten by a college kid two years younger. Most of the talk and debate has been geared toward "Drew Hunter not living up to his potential because of coaching, so much so that he can't even hang with a college kid" .
The talk needs to be more that "HAVE YOU SEEN THIS LUIS KID?" I know Drew comes with a lot of pressure because of his early success, but we may be seeing one of the more rare talents in a long time in Luis. He might have been undertrained earlier and is now just reaping the benefits of the right level of intensity. I simply believe that Luis may have 10x the level of talent that Drew has, just that Drew has worked himself into the ground to get to the place that he is at. He still has quite the trajectory of improvement on the horizon, but I'm afraid you are about to see Luis blow EVERYONE out of the water...
