Runworks operates from several sources, one of which is Daniels (they're no longer allowed to use his name, but they used to list that something like half of their conversions were directly from Daniels). I run treadmill workouts all the time, and going to 1.5% from 0% is certainly not nearly as hard as your calculator indicates. It gets even more laughable at higher percentages. I've literally watched someone run mile repeats on a calibrated, $10,000 with the last one at 5.5% grade at 12 mph. Your calculator puts that at exactly a 4:00 equivalent pace at 0% grade. The guy doing the workout was looking for low/mid-4:30s effort on flat ground. Runworks puts it at 4:33. Your calculator puts it at faster than his mile PR, even if we convert for treadmill vs flat ground. Your calculator is trash.
