Too bad there aren't any Americans in it. Here in the USA we like to time trial against ourselves.

Hawi feysa debut intrigues me. I have said elsewhere, it seems her management or Ethiopian officials are pointing her towards the marathon in the Olympics. If this half doesn’t ruin her debut at the classic distance in Valencia and Feysa can match Birhane at the longer event, she would be in contention for selection. Especially after all three Ethiopian women gave up so early in Doha.

Starting a profile thread later today: 16 days, 24 profiles. Having my top 3 as Belihu, Cheroben, and Edris. Ruth C. Leads the women from gemechu and Yehualaw.

The covid cases in the capital is highest in the country right now. 6-7k cases every day. Plus the pollution is ridiculously high this year. Not at all safe

Can we really keep getting excited about a bunch of no-name, doped to the gills African-only fields in a half marathon? No big time names, all racing for the money, likely going to be busted within the next calendar year.
I realize this is a pessimistic way of looking at races, especially in a time where we get very few quality fields, but cmon. -

I am quite fond of the English language and they can sure butcher it. Wouldn’t they have access to an edit function to correct? -

Wow, Cancel Culture! -
There will be no Indian winner of today's race.
Something fishy going on by eliminating the mass race.
Another clue pointing to a global control conspiracy.
