Editor's note. This discussion thread started out as a discussion for the members of our Supporter's Club. We have now opened it up to the masses.
On the front page, I put up a poll asking people who they voted for.
I hid the results. I'll reveal the results for the masses tomorrow but thought it would be fun to share them with the VIPs here.
So far the results are as follows. Of people who say they voted, here is who they say they supported:
71.0% Biden
20.3% Trump
8.6% Other
Additionally, 5.1% of respondents said they didn't vote and 17.5% said they couldn't vote (not 18 or not a US citizen).
Update. After thousands of results, the final tally didn't change much.
71.1% Biden
21.9% Trump
7.0% Other
4.9% said they didn't vote and 15.5% said they couldn't vote.
So while some idiots have said that LetsRun.com is right wing, the reality is the place is way more liberal than normal US society particularly when you factor in the fact that roughly 3/4ths of our audience is male as males normally skew to the right. When I asked Weldon and Jonathan to predict the results before telling them, they weren't that far off. Why were they not surprised? Because they knew our audience is highly educated and also younger than average.
So how could some label this place as right wing? I think it shows that many people can't stand seeing anything they don't agree with. People live in siloed worlds so they don't hear the other side. Here we have an open discussion forum and it apparently triggers some on the left. I actually think some of that triggering is what causes the polls to be so far off. Some Trump voters are scared to admit it as they know these really vocal people on the left will shame them.
