Thanks very much, Sub 6:00. They are appreciated.
What time does the race go off? It’s been to long since had a race report around here it seems.
After that hard workout Sunday my legs have just been dead as hell allllll week . Had to bag workout on Wednesday. Just gonna do easy volume this week and increase miles a tad. Then drop back down next week and add mileage. Guess legs just not used to the longer hard workouts yet. They better adjust soon or the HM is gonna be BRUTAL late. (I wish it was a 5k/10k)
Best of luck, @outsiderunner! I can't wait to read your race report with you dropping triple 4:XXs at the end of the race to blow past all of those young bucks!
I have a 3k next Wednesday I plan on writing a novel about RRR.
Good luck, Outside Runner!

I had to reread that. I though let you were talking about running a 3k then writing a novel about me. It would be a real page turner
tyler and dw - Thank you, my friends!
At the hotel now. Had very good but very expensive burger and fries at the in-house restaurant.
The men’s “elite” corral goes out at 6:50...”elite” women at 7:00...all of us being released individually about 15 seconds apart. So, I will be going out at about 6:50.
Got bib number 47.
Need to take a hot shower and stretch.
Before I forget...you bet, Tyler—-shooting for a triple 4:xx finish!

Good luck OR. Got a great day in Cantral PA for the marathon. Enjoy it!
Good luck! Anyone at the race that can give an update or two?
Hey boys and girls...
No clock time to observe today as I crossed, since we were sent out individually every 15 seconds. I just heard from the timing folks and they told me this...
2:48:57
1:24:07 first half
1:24:57 second half
I am pretty much at a loss for words in describing the race briefly. Ran the entire race solo. Does that say it all? It might. Not an easy effort today. Quads started to burn at 18 and were screaming by 22. Not sure how I got through those last several miles, as that type of pain is rather unusual for me...it took me by surprise, as I was feeling pretty good before 18...cruising nicely at PR pace. So, no PR today, but I will never forget this one. Those last few miles were very lonely and I even thought of throwing in the towel. I knew the south end of the course was coming and that it would be more difficult, with some gravel and uneven surfaces. And the turnarounds throughout were sharp and awkward. So, a pretty flat course, but not at all easy.
Again I do not know how I kept my head in the game down the stretch but I did. Someone must have been praying for me and I know that you guys and gals were all pulling for me. I offer a HUGE thank you to all of you. One of the tougher races I have run, and I am happy to have broken 2:49 in it. Legs are shot.
So, as it is said in one of my favorite movies...”Hey Mr. Martini, how about some wine!” Can you name the film?
Will get back with a report, and the results with placings and such will not be available until after the Sunday runners run...
That’s freaking awesome OR. Pretty even splits for the amount of struggle in the last few miles. Nice work especially with the rather short buildup. Kudos and can’t wait for the report.
Pauli more wine is my favorite. Good job OR. Even Steven.
Way to go, OR!
Congrats, OR. Both brave and well-executed. Nicely done. And VERY solid time.
Amazing race OR! Enjoy your runners high! Looking forward to the race report! Well done man.

Congrats, OR, well done, especially with the leg issues and the solo effort. Looks like you wisely started conservatively, then settled into "OR flyer" mode.
I was hoping with the staggered start, you'd have runners to pick off, one by one, for a good portion of the race. But I imagine you were seeded too high to have many folks ahead of you?
Anyway, safe travels, and looking forward to all the details!
