This would be good for running because our runners are not that good at the world stage anymore. We will have more pride in our runners competing against themselves in national finals, and running might become more popular if this happens due to the lower skill required to make it to the top available level. This would stink for basketball, swimming, gymnastics, and whatever else the U.S. is good at in the Olympics.
I see that this character who calls himself or herself The Predictor is registered. As what? Answer: One incredible MF maroon, an observation which has been pointed out already!
On the other hand, we all need to find excuses to laugh a bit more in these challenging times, so bearing this in mind, I hope The Predictor strikes again!
This has Putin and Trump written all over it. And that’s why the earlier thread was deleted. Goes against the make America great narrative here.
Biden victory solves this problem.

Maybe the US and Russia could have a separate “banned Olympics”. Kind of like a dual meet, lol. ?

This. Unless WADA requires that the money be in before January 20.

Does almost everyone on letsrun believe that drugs actually give you more energy?
Discus.
Steroids make women stronger.
Thats just stuff people say. But what does that actually mean in energy terms?
Break it down for me in Bioenergetic terms so that I can understand your true genius?
If the United States pulls out of WADA due to non-payment, it would be immediately AFTER the Olympics, not before. So this story is really a non-starter.
Biatch please. The Olympics is going to "ban" the country that brings the most stars, wins the most gold medals, has most of the viewing audience. No happening.
Hmm you don't think this might hurt our sprinters just a little bit? We have the best 100m, 200m probably a sweep, 400m, second best 400h, best 110h, best relays. Best 800m runner and that's just the men.
So while are distance guys are meh and always will be, because our best athletes aren't doing those events, we're still the best track and field country by far.
Ted Turner already did this. Don't you remember the Goodwill Games?
I was thinking more in terms of long distance
But the U.S. are still pretty bad at sprinting and jumping and all the rest. Them dudes slow. They are paid actors by those who can't be named to make the U.S. look good. They are engineered in labs

As I've often told you, I tend to look at performance results, rather than split hairs about biology.
It is not important to me to break it down in bioenergetic terms.
In the long term, "Trial and error" is effective science.
Get rid of the entire drug testing apparatus, which is nothing more than a jobs-creation program designed to enslave millions of athletes & governments world-wide.

yep.
of course we want clean fair sports,
but making a deal with the devil is not a solution.
wada is crony, 666 big brother, the worst.
this is where the brojoes some in.\ in their ignorance they comply with 666.
the road to hell is paved with good intentions.
The U.S. and Russia should have a separate ADA that plays by their rules.
Classic Trump administration master negotiating
1) Lead with nuclear option threat
2) Immediate capitulation not forthcoming, move on to other issues and forget the threat was ever made
3) Theater accomplished, return to status quo
4) Repeat in multiple settings
"The U.S. is the largest single contributor to WADA, paying over $2.7 million into the 2020 budget of $37.4 million, half of which comes from the IOC. "
Funding should be reduced to $1.6 Million to be commensurate with U.S. share of the global population.
