Thank you all for the replies- I was really more worried about my leg.
And now I don’t know if I should heat or ice
Just think of it logically. Heat increases blood flow to the surface of the skin, increasing inflammation, which stimulates the nerves thereby increasing the pain and delaying healing. You can actually make the injury worse using heat.

Cold does the opposite, drives blood deep into the tissues for healing, decreases inflammation, which decreases pain, and greatly accelerates the healing process. I have used this method many times to quickly heal injuries.
There are an awful lot of studies on the importance of inflammation in healing. Our bodies don't have an inflammatory process for no reason, it serves a purpose.
Rule of thumb: ice initially, heat after swelling and initial inflammation is decreasing. Depending on the injury, you switch around 2 days to 2 weeks. For something like this, maybe 4 or 5 days as a guess.
I second all of the "go now and report it" suggestions. Also, if you end up going to a doctor, submit those records to the police as well.
Dude who kicked you is either
1) nuts and needs professional intervention to help him
2) an absolute jerk and deserves to be punished.
Who does he assault next time? Does he stop after a single kick? Do they pull out a gun and kill him? Report it.
