Either way I doubt high school grads and their parents all have 100-200k just laying around for college. The average student loan debt is nearly 30k per year. One has to be at or near poverty line to get any financial grant or real assistance aside from scholarships. Welcome FAFSA
Amen!

I read a little blurb that the University of Wyoming will lose over 10 million from not playing football this fall.
Well I would certainly call that a blurb without facts to back it up. I would guess that Wyoming LOSES money by fielding a football team.
Have they been nationally televised,,,,even once in their history?
I certainly do not know facts, why would I, but am painting Wyoming the same as mid-majors. I assume they spend like a national contender and bring in very little in comparison.

Imagine being poor enough to think that klown kollege klemson is worth any amount of money.
Another keyboard warrior.
Those are some pretty strong allegations. Can I get your number to pass along to the Secret service? Wait, nevermind. I found it.
Not sure who you think you're pontificating to, Flagpole. I have a kid at one of the HPYSM schools and we pay full price, and the kid is plenty bright.

You people realize that almost no one pays the full price to go to any college, right? Financial aid based on need, academic scholarships that are laughable at many schools, etc. If you are a person who has to pay full price, then you are the rare combination of not too bright (thus low grades and test scores) and come from a well-off family.
I mean they are #91 out 5300 colleges/universities according, so top 1%. Not too bad at all
The pandemic is much worse now than April/May. It was pretty much only impacting NY/NJ at that time. It's everywhere else now...
hmmm let’s see, trump had the best economy in the countries history, unemployment was at an all time low. All biden does is sit in his basement and
he said you should take truth over facts which is ridiculously stupid. he also said “poor kids are just as talented as white kids” which is implying that only minorities are poor which is terribly stereotypical and offensive. Biden passed in 1992 criminal act which completely targeting minorities. Under the Obama administration he was vice president he put so many more blacks on food stamps. Trump on the other hand got 7 million people off food stamps and most of them were minorities. he made the black unemployment rate an all time low. The white/black employment gap is smaller than it ever has been under Trump. Biden said he didn’t want his kids to go to school with black kids and grow up in a “racial jungle”. Biden has been in politics for over a decade and hasn’t done crap, he can’t remember what he’s saying, he doesn’t know where he is and he thinks his sister is his wife.

Imagine being so privileged that you think $35k is not only not much money, but that your viewpoint is anything like relatable for the 7 billions humans on Earth. Worldwide median income in 2019 was about $10k.

2,379 Americans age 5 - 14 years died, 16 due to Covid....78 due to pneumonia.

The athletes are already and will continue to be on campus just like a bunch of kids already. You don't need the rest of the student body on campus to play sports.

Not anymore. Let's use your in state flagship The Ohio State University. Merit aid for the smartest kids is the 3k per year Maximus scholarship. With tuition, room and board of 24k+, the annual bill is over 21k.
