What a shame that Nike didn't stream this incredible performance live to every HS & College runner shut-in, and every other track fan out there. What a wasted opportunity. How clueless can they be?

5:00 last 2k for Ahmed? I'm shocked!

Marc Scott & Woody Kincaid evidently finished as well, giving 4 finishers for the race.
So Woody isn't update?

12:47 for Mo Ahmed
Lopez got absolutely smoked and still ran 12:58.
Didn't think Cheptegei might be able to get 5k record but now I do.
I take it back the Record is 12:37. But I'd love to see what those guys could do in more TT conditions like this.
Absolutely insane performance from Moh.

give it a rest.
it'll be on YouTube tomorrow which allows them to reach a lot more people for free. they charge a little bit for the folks who care enough to want to watch it now. zero problem with this.
I saw the pre race aticle about the shoes being used in the race. The new victory and dragonfly were publicly released last week in Japan. ALL LEGAL HERE!
I agree wejo, as impressive as these runs (I mean the BTC club "races" of the past couple years) are, the thing I see most here is how much the perfect set up helps. Ahmed is and has been a medal contender, but no one else running today is. The top Africans would run astonishing times in these conditions.

Schweizer dropped PR from 14:45.18 in Doha to 14:26.34.
18.84 seconds faster. Wow!
But of she was Kenyan doing the same thing we would be accusing her of doping

I’m usually pretty reserved in my predictions but not today!
Schweizer over Shelby in 14:27
Moh 12:55 and Lomong sub 13. Woody who the hell knows.
Apparently still to reserved!
Great runs by BTC, but still should be an asterisk because performance not in an actual race.
The NYT will have an article about these times in the Saturday papers. Not. What a wasted opportunity.
Mo Ahmed is now All Time #10, Only 7 Ethiopians and 2 Kenyans have run faster. It also Breaks Lagat's Area (North America) Record.
I'm in awe

I’m with you, my friend.
I’ve been a HUGE Nike fan my whole life. I even have a dog named Nike! Lol
Wait... WeJo, did you now know the men's 5k record???
Lopez's PRs are now 3:32, 12:58 and 27:04. That's gotta be more impressive range than any other American except Rupp right?

Ever thought that Mo might be faster on the track than Cheptegei?
Guess you should've paid the $12
