Hi all,
I am starting medical residency next week with two weeks of night shifts (6pm-6am). For those of you who regularly work nights, how did you transition to the change in sleep schedule? Should I try and not sleep the night before and then sleep all day before I start? Also, any tips for trying to stay energized/awake during these shifts, besides drinking coffee?
Also, I will usually have random days off. For instance my first week I have Wed/Thursday off. Would you just try and maintain the sleep schedule you have started during those two days off?
Any tips would be appreciated :)
