I get your angle on King and you and I may have put together a posse to beat his ass if it were around our families. However cops don't or shouldn't have the same standard. Once a perp is subdued, there's no reason for the beatings to continue until morale improves.
Garner, IIRC, was choked out while trying to cuff him with about 9 guys on him. Not sure that should result in a guys death but if he complies he's still alive.
There seems, at this point, for no reason for this guy's neck pressure. Why he wasn't stood up and placed in the back of a car is something I'd like to hear an explanation for. The police whitewashing and failure to see any point of view but their own is disturbing at times and part of the problem. I have a relative by marriage who is an ex cop who would undoubtedly put a spin on this situation which you'd have thought the cop's life was in danger. It's remarkable how some, and perhaps most, think.
