YES!

Rupp looks terrible.
Not surprising after he admitted the buildup didn't go well. Maybe he hangs on for 2:07, I'd be really surprised if he drops out.
Kosgey est. time is 2:13.58 at half, seems slower and slower

I'm German and have never heard that name before. That time is faster than what the Hahner twins or Anja Scherl are running, who are extremely established German marathoners. You would expect that time from someone like Reh or Koko, but from a no-name? Suspicious.
If you had read the women's preview, you'd know it's her marathon debut.
and in my thread, i thought a 2.36 was possible, going on a half time this year
Hey maybe it's Karoki's day to shine at last!

Lol, those times are simply pathetic in today's marathon. Time for American sub-elites to nut up.

I could see Ruppster and Farah come back on this lead pack.
Yeah it sounds like they are still on 2:05 low pace. When the pacer drops out this group of 6 might start to mess around and slow.
Nevermind, half split shows Rupp dropping off Farah now.
Rupp 1:02:57 @ 13.1

I don't know if she will want to show up in NYC and be even further under the spotlight of the Salazar situation. NYC is the biggest stage there is. Plenty of chances for spats with other Americans over dopig stuff...
If it was really just a hamstring cramp then maybe she goes to Amsterdam next week. If it was a "hamstring cramp" then her season is done.

Big Lisa fan, and I've been really excited to see her coming into the race because her form has been so good, but this is worryingly fast for her. I was thinking 2:23 - 2:24 before the race would be a great result for her. Hope she can hang on. AUS record would be amazing though (2:22:36)
12 Americans on sub-2:11 pace through halfway. We're gonna see a few PRs today...

She ran 16:00/15:58/16:01 for the last 3 segments, she is not getting slower
Kosgei just under 2:14 pace at 1/2 way!! That better be some kind of tailwind coming up that they keep talking about cause she's going to need it. Cox and Swangard need to shift focus to her and this WR attempt.

Agree with you, it was good to see her beating Sinead a few weeks back. Lisa went through the HM in 02:23:28 pace so she's been slowing down. Probably a smart idea to dial it back a bit.
Ease off the insults on the US pros, old man river. No need for the insolence.
American women's pack has dropped under 2:26 pace at half. Includes Bruce, Bates, Flanagan and McCormack from Ireland.

I'm German too. I think her PB is 2:43 from Berlin a few years back, at which point she was more like a serious amateur. Then decided to go all in on running & moved to Iten. Lets see if she can keep this pace up.
We all know that "moving to Iten" is code for getting on the juice.
Doping is part of the Kenyan running culture.
