And there you have it, the 5k/10k guy is the only one to make the trials standard in the 1500; doing so at what was supposed to be a meet for Americans to get OT/OG qualifying times in their PRIMARY events.

In agreement. It's a little cold, low 60s, unfortunate to ruin the whole meet, I always look forward to Oxy, but especially in Olympic years.

1500 recap for those of you at a bar instead of watching live.

The fast heat of the men's 1500 was a bit disappointing. The rabbiting was great but he only went like 800 or 900 and once he left they crawled. The

140 at 700 but 241 mid bell. So they went over 60 on the penultimate lap? HassanMead ended up winning 3:37.65 as he was the only guy to even get the Olympic Trials standard of 3:38 - let alone Olymic Games standard.

Leo Manzano was bad. Real bad. He was off the back before they hit the bell. He was mid-pack behind Wheating but then fell off and was last in 3:43. I will give him credit for not bagging. He knew it was important to get used to running hard.
