Honestly, why do you NOT like Rupp? The fact that he is dirty? Salazar? His personality? What is it that makes him so unlikeable as a talented runner who achieves what every runner on these boards should want?

He is the AR holder at 10k, he won an Olympic medal in an event that no one would have given him a chance to 10-15 years ago, and he has consistently competed against the best runners in the world. Even if you want to argue that he may be dirty, how many of the other top runners are doing the same thing? So what makes you pick him to hate? Who else do we (yes, I mean Americans because he is American and that connection makes sense) have to take the mantle of true contender when it comes to global medals at 10,000 meters? I agree it is exciting and awesome to watch the lesser US guys beneath him make world teams and set PRs and shock us with great performances, but Galen is on a different level and I do think the US needs a runner like that.

You just don't like that that runner is Galen Rupp.

Cam Levins is as dirty as they come. He was dirty at SUU.

Some people have been saying for years on these boards that the sport was no cleaner than cycling. I never believed the problem was that bad, maybe I didn't want to believe it.

Well, I now realize I was wrong and the LRC "trolls" were right. I would like to extend a full apology at his point. Doping since high school? WTF? I guess I was the one wearing the tinfoil hat since I thought Rupp was clean.

As far as I'm concerned that was an utter failure of an investigation. We know doping is endemic in sport. This guy goes to investigate and all he ends up with is hearsay centered on a couple of athletes. Stirring shit but not actually finding out much.

How about looking into the Jamaicans or Africans? What about other sports which are far shadier and apathetic toward doping?

Unless he's coming back with a no holds barred part two I'm seriously disappointed.
