What does that even mean? That's almost as indecipherable as the OP.

I love outing marathon cheaters. Seriously. It's one of my favorite things about this board. But we need something better than "I saw her not running" and "she told me it was the day before which totally could not be confused by her or by me with the day after".

Wait. It says 6/14, but it's a two-day deal (6/14-6/15) and the websites clearly show that there's a marathon on Sunday:

They are guilty of being sloppy with reporting the dates.

Is it possible PM could have been observed not running on Saturday and Larry was in Utah on Saturday and then they ran together on Sunday? Sure looks like it.

These are from publicly posted race results based on goggles web cache.

This is so confusing. Which races are those times for? I'm unsure what has claimed to have happened for each race on each day. Didn't LM allegedly run 2 marathons in Utah during this same weekend that he also allegedly ran one in San Antonio?

I think they are saying he ran the two marathons out west (Idaho and Utah) and ran two marathons in San Antonio on the same weekend.

On another note, would PM and LM be classified with some sort of disorder? Any nut docs in the house?

LM is listed in the "early marathon results" for the Bear Lake marathon (Idaho version) on Friday, 6/13:

LM is listed in the "marathon results" for the Bear Lake marathon (Utah version) on Saturday,6/14:

PM is not listed in any of the Bear Lake results (nor has it ever been declared that she was there).

As noted above, LM is also listed in results for marathons in San Antonio on both Saturday, 6/14 as well as Sunday 6/15, although these results were taken offline at some point after this thread started.

Unfortunately, none of this means anything factual except that his name is in the results sets. It is conceivable that LM is in the Utah results but ran it at a different time or even Friday night... the RD could be listing whatever he/she pleases. It is the RD's event.

This is especially true for the San Antonio races. It may be a pattern for PM to list herself and maybe others in results even though they did not start at the published start time.

The challenge with an RD putting together micro-events that the RD herself/himself participates in is that this person is likely to make certain allowances. All by the "rules" as the RD is the one who sets the rules. There is really no way to prove that someone did or did not. Even with eyewitnesses at one of these races who declare that so-and-so was not there. If so-and-so shows up "later", is that allowed? It is if the RD says so.

The course for these races is a 1.64 mile out (and 1.64 miles back), repeated 8 times. It is assumed that PM and LM know this section of bike path very well by now.

I guess Fred is correct about RD's at smaller races making "allowances" with start times maybe. The problem becomes then that an RD participating could list themselves as finishing whether they actually ran or not. Who could say otherwise? If anyone questions it they can claim they ran days before the actual event...of course some of us who run days before an event call it a training run, and don't claim having finished an organized marathon. We either participate in the event or we don't. If we participated then others who were there saw us there too. Seriously, would any of us just show up and tell the RD, we'd already run, we're going home now...so put us down as a finisher??? And, what RD would allow that...I guess and RD just wanting the money and the "numbers" as finishers wouldn't care?

If that's how she's doing tings, then seem, anyone with more money than running ability could just pay and get to claim a marathon. Maybe that's what it's all about.

When those of us here, see the same thing every time...that's what it looks like. I know some marathons allow early start...but really, I never seen a director at any of those claim they already ran...maybe some days before. Best thing if you're a race director - and want to run your own race...run with everyone watching...then no question.
