I’m not impressed with their 1:23 spread though (compared to NC State’s approximately 32 second spread today).
BYU really needs Hutchins to get in there and help offset that if they’re going to have any chance against NC State at Natty’s.
My impression is NC St would have 4 in before BYUs 3rd today, and I would put Engelhardt right with that 3-4-5-6 pack of BYU. So yes, they need Hutchins.
I'd definitely agree but how about that Brian Musau kid that won the whole thing? He's most certainly, definitely, without a doubt 18 years old as well and for him to beat out that field means he's got *plenty* of years in the sport ahead of him and not at all close to his peak yet.

Love Musau but it’s insane that ok state pretends he’s 18. They’re just blatantly lying
Oklahoma State Looks good, how did this team falter last year?!
Masau is all class. On and off the course.
Their back three got out too slow and pinned in, and two of their top guys fell due to Habtom Samuel not knowing how to run in a straight line. He lost his shoe as a result.
That same fall ruined Iowa State’s chance to beat BYU, took out one of their guys as well.
Anything can happen in 3 weeks time. OSU absolutely rocked it but Iowa State is on a different level at Nationals, historically speaking.
The SEC men’s championship is a joke. It might as well be called the Kenyan national championships.
Seriously.
Women: 11 of the top 13.
Men: 9 of the top 12. Cheruiyot is 25 years old, if you can even trust that.
A bunch of 22-26 year old "pro" athletes come over from Africa and take opportunities and scholarships from 18 year old Americans. This has become absurd. Save the "racism" accusations. American College distance running is officially dead. This is an absolute travesty.
Age limitations must be implemented now, and coaches and schools need to prioritize the development of American athletes whose parents have paid taxes that fund most of these schools.
Oregon W with 18. Top six go 1-2-3-5-7-9. I don't think they can beat NC State, but they should podium at Nats.
They are very good. I need to figure out just how good their top 3 are and how hard they ran today. 39 second spread pretty narrow.
Next impression. Cherubet, Frias, Thompson, Ince all ran about the same time as they did at Dellinger while Cherotich ran 22 seconds slower so it would appear she was not running hard today. So in more of a real race that 39 second spread might be more like 50-60 seconds.

They are good and as an Oregonian it's hard to say I'm not a fan. Considering if we remove the top 3 or even top 2 runners from the lineup they fall way back. Wish they didn't take the route they are on.
S. Engelhardt the first freshman in the ACC in 10th, C. Huyler for Notre Dame the second domestic freshman in 33rd with V. Garces in 43rd, H. Thomsen in 46, R. Blade in 66th. C. Stegall had a good result as a freshman in the SEC which bodes well for Florida. These are the true freshman from U.S. high schools that are of normal freshman age.
