We need to stay on the spring forward schedule, not the I have to watch an hour of fox news reruns before the early bird special (which McD's doesn't even have!) schedule. Right now it sucks that we essentially lose an hour of daylight in the 4 months of the year where its getting dark earliest. I could handle fall forward and spring back - doing it in reverse I guess too. The extra hour of daylight in the evening is better for most Americans - including most secondary students (due to sports and activities). A lot more children are involved in sports and activities than have to deal with darkness as they walk to school.
What about people who run at 7 am? Well, being able to start a morning run that late is such a luxury (most Americans need to start getting ready for a 9 am work start before 8) that its a niche case too.
You are aware that the Sun rises at about 5am in the Summer?
