I am actually quite well versed in Title IX. As I mentioned, my mistake was due to a small technicality. This is not the first time I have done research about the topic, I had merely overlooked that Title IX was not directly a part of the Constitution despite stemming directly from the 14th amendment. Title IX is still federal law.
Well you sure could have fooled me! In fact, you did fool me.
The aim of Title IX was to put an end to the widespread policies and practices long in place in US education that denied equal opportuntities and fair treatment to female people due to our sex.
Whereas you seem to think that Title IX allows males who say they have a trans gender identity to compete in the sports category created expressly for female students - and that Title IX also allows males who say they have a trans idenity to insert themselves in all the school spaces, programs and services meant to be free of males in order to provide female students and staff with privacy, safety, dignity, comfort, convenience and peace of mind.
You seem to think that Title IX isn't about ending unfair sex discrimination in education, it's about granting new kinds of super-duper male privilege to members of the male sex who believe that because they view themselves in a certain way, it means they deserve special treatment that no one else gets.

The last race I RD'd we ran a "non-binary" category concurrent with the boys race. Scored and awarded separately. Two kids owned what they signed up for, got medals, and were ecstatic. Not difficult, and eliminates talking points on both sides. Hell, if all the schools involved wanted to co-op one NB team so the kids could score 5, I'm here for it.
Understanding science does not indicate omniscience, it indicates intelligence. Not understanding science, and refusing to educate yourself, is an indication of ignorance.

Sex and gender are no different. The only people who believe they are are transphobic people like you. For example, if you were to go to any transgender person and ask them for their gender and their sex, they will say Man/male, Woman/female, Non-binary/Non-binary, or other minorities. But you will very rarely here Man/female or Woman/male.
This just goes to show that you're either posting disingenuously or you're really clueless. In point of fact, there are tons of people who have adopted a trans gender identity who know full well that there's a difference between their sex and their gender identity and gender expression. And many of them have no issue at all saying so.
The distinction is irrelevant in practice for anything but reproduction and reproduction-proximate issues, but other people’s reproductive characteristics are none of your business unless you are trying to reproduce with them.
For just about everything else, the constitution equates gender with sex.
Running on track or playing any sport has little to do with producing babies. I’ve never seen any athletes trying to produce babies on track. Or on the field for that matter.
