Meb has broken away from Nguse, and on the downhill catching Maiyo, could be a mistake???He was moving...Maiyou still 5 secs or so ahead...alot of drama, great Boston so far...Women kind of following the same, Prokop, Jepto, alot of surging by Proko on the uphills.

Maiyo appears to be running about 7 minute pace, he looks very relaxed. Meb is about 15 yards back, alone, but he looks great too.
i'm not one of those guys who thinks you can't criticize a guy unless you've run faster than him - but I don't understand how you can talk smack about a guy who has run that damn fast consistently. it would be one thing if he didn't run to his ability level - but he's one guy who puts everything he can into his training and racing. it just happens, that 2:14 is probably as good as it's going to get. Is THAT worthy of giving a guy crap about?

Merga is the Ethiopian still in the race not Negussie... i think he just got dropped by meb.. it will be a tough crawl in for a guy running his first marathon... then again .. you never know.
Maiyo looks awsome, no facial grimmicing, Kef working hard in second...alot of arm action...Cherioyot now in t third, He was my pick and has really moved up..He ran well in Lisbon and I can see him right on Meb...He's really moving...it may help Meb...I think Cheriot might take it after all.
Meb just hanging around, letting Maiyo go a little bit...the big hills are on the horizon. Maiyo looks good.
