We changed the title of the thread to make it more factual and descriptive. It was initially entitled, "I guess Brosnan did actually do it," but the release says the former coach (Brosnan) is still disputing the allegations.
I guess we should listen to the guy who has been at a mid-major D1 for 4 years now over the actual NCAA website. Read the website. Follow the flow charts. Learn how the process works.
EVERY SINGLE CASE ON THE NCAA INFRACTIONS TRACKING SITE HAS A HEARING!!!!!!
Hey, just a piece of advice. You really need to have a word with an NCAA coach. Make no mistake, you do have the right to request a hearing, but it isn't guaranteed they'll grant you one, especially with the current evidence against you. That's the damn reality, man. Just dealing straight facts here.
I AM ONE YOU MORON!
And have been for more than the 4 years of the Mr Mid-Major.
Amazing amount of money wasted by the "source" while not doing anything positive for anyone involved.
Who is the source you are referring to? Sean or the NCAA?
This is such a typical Trump style defense to say the organization enforcing the rules is somehow wasting money and resources doing their actual job. Like somehow the violation is so minor they should let it slide because there are bigger issues they should be focusing on. That's not the way rules work. If you break the rules, the organization that enforces the rules' job is to do just that - enforce the rules. The person who broke the rules is the one that's wasting the money and resources that could be directed to positive things.
Always the victim. Whether it was breaking the rules during COVID, reported CIF violations or the nonsense at UCLA, it's always "for the kids". Such a load of BS. The rules are always dumb or punishing the kids, but never his fault for not following them.
I can't say who the "source" of the NCAA's information was because Vin can get me fired from my coaching gig.

The NCAA no longer automatically grants hearings to all who request one. UCLA and Brosnan have been allowed to address the issue separately due to a new NCAA procedure. UCLA opted for a quick resolution by accepting a two-week recruiting ban and a small fine, known as a NR (negotiated resolution). If Brosnan has evidence or if the NCAA's evidence is lacking, an external chairperson will review the case and decide whether a hearing is warranted. This process may take until early July for a final decision. If you are indeed a DI coach, it appears you may not be fully informed about these current NCAA regulations and procedures have changed. At my former University we made sure staff knows all rule changes. You should take the time to educate yourself
