You never have anything constructive to contribute to any discussion here, do you? Your a one trick pony saying over and over again, HE IS DOPED! EVERYBODY IS DOPED! You turn every thread negative with your repetitive doping accusations. I got a surprise fore you. We all know PEDS are an issue in track and field. At least it is not like the old testostorone days. But we DO NOT need to hear the same line every time somebody does something great. Over and over. You are not a creative thinker, are you?
...And you all let him derail every thread he posts in by endlessly responding to him.

Correction please. This is the first and only time I responded because i thought it had to be said. i just generally ignore him as we all should so i agree with you on that.
Probably because he hasn't contested it since he was 19. While I agree with your sentiment your logic is horrible. There's no way you actually think he is currently in 1:46 shape
If he was significantly faster than 1:46 he would have competed over the distance. He lacks speed. If he tried to run a faster 800 he still wouldn't beat 1:45. He would need to be able to run 22-high for the 200 - he can't. Low speed with freakish endurance equals the best drugs modern technology can supply.
Yes, ofcourse he would jeapordize his world record attempts by cramming in a 1:44.5 800m into his packed racing schedule, just because. How are you so extremely dense? You are setting world records here.
Enjoying seeing how you obviously cant cope with this. Imagine reacting to a new 3000m record by talking about slow 800m times. Whatever you need to do to comfort yourself I guess. I cant imagine how horrible your life must be as the good option is to torture yourself by following the career of a person you hate to the smallest detail.
If you had a new thought or two, or just some insight into the sport, no, lets not get greedy, just some ability to think logically, then your posts here wouldn't make this forum absolutely miserable. Everyone sees the real you and laughs over your dumb opinions.
A runner who has never beaten 1:46 for the 800 puts two 1500's together at the pace of the great milers of the past, who trained just as hard - 100mpw - and were faster than him over 800. This sport is farcical.
1. When did JI run a 800 meter in good weather last? It's just a clutching at straws argument.
2. Most of the year he runs more than 100mps, more like 115-130.
3. These milers of the past did not measure their lactate X amount of times every day to optimize their training effort.
4. They didn't have super-shoes
5. They didn't have wave length pacing.
6. How many of these former super athletes followed a professional training regime before hey were teenaagers?
By all means, feel free to think he is doped to the gills and argue your case as much as you wish, but let's not pretend JI haven't had a set of advantages in his training regime that pretty much no prior before him has had.
I find it interesting that runners copying his training methods are crushing it and I think by copying his traning methods, a new runner will emerge sooner than most people think to surpass his times.
I've researched it already. Peak for most 3000m types is around 26. Shorter events have an earlier peak. Ingebrigsten is entering his peak now.
He has no peer 1500-5000m throughout history. No one. He may well have 5 WRs, mile to 5000m, in the next 12 months.
For 3000m only Morceli at 25 years of age broke the 3k WR in 1995, Komen was 20 in 1996, so even younger than 21-23 years age bracket.
For 800m 1500m 5000m 10000m, all the most recent WR holders at these respective events all made them before turning 24, which is Jakob's age dilemma right now!!!!!!!! I don't see any 24+ or 25 year old folks for these WR holders.
The younger the more likely the WR, that's the rule at the end of the day sir!!!! That's why Jakob is better poised to take the WR at 5000m in Brussels in September and not wait until next September to do so!!!
Best 3000m times:
Morceli 24/6mos
ElG 24/6mos
Kejelcha 26/1mos
Fisher 26/5mos
Geb 25/4mos
Aouita 29/9mos.
Ingebrigtsen is now 23/11mos. No doubt in my mind that he will be perfectly suited for a fast 5000m at 24 (approaching 25). Perfect age for that distance. Watch and see.

Anyone who thinks someone who runs 3:26 for the 1500 and clocked a 1:27.6 last 600 in a 3k can't run faster than 1:46 in the 800 should simply be banned for trolling.
I just want to ask the forum something connected to this paced race/championship-view the a lot seems to focus on.
The idea has always been to find the strongest runner over 1500m. To set it up as a championship race is therefore logical. Equal opportunities. The strongest endurance runners will have to make the pace, and the sprinters will sit back and kick. The "endurance guys" will be the pacers for the others. Or else they will probably be out-kicked. Even Jakob, unless he finds a perfect pace to grind the field.
But when people here diss Jakob's accomplishments in "paced races" I wonder; is it not as fair when everyone gets a pacer? Since the kickers always have a pacer, why should we not appreciate a race where everyone has a back to hide behind? And remember that people like Jakob also has to pace the last 800-500m, while the others quite often are "paced" almost all the way.
Kerr is not a tactical mastermind. Jakob is not weak tactically. They both try to use their strong sides in running.
But my question is; does not paced races also show us who is the strongest runner? It seems fair that everyone has a back to hide behind (for part of the race)?
Paced time trials are basically who is the strongest runner - who can maintain the pace as long as possible. Championship races are tactics and being able to adapt. Centrowitz is probably one of the weakest 1500m Olympic winners we've ever had in recent memory but he was an incredible tactician with great closing speed. But he wasn't even the best last lap guy in the field when he won, he just knew exactly when to start pushing and where to put himself. No one would say he was ever the strongest runner in any race, but he still won.
Kerr isn't a better tactician than Centrowitz just because he's faster, because Centrowitz didn't have someone like Jakob always pushing the pace every race and basically giving everyone an outline for how the race is going to go. "Oh i'm faster than this guy over the last lap, he's gonna do this, I'll just sit and kick".
Two points - Aregawi ran PR 7:21.28 that's only 3s+ behind Jakob so this record is breakable too.
and second : 90 degree heat, high humidity 22 mph wind gusts - Jakob could DESTROY this record too if he ran on a better day. The calculators all add some insane amount of time - 4s per mile for 2 degrees F - obviously not that accurate at this level but 5 or 10s for sure with No wind, 50 to 60 F & low humidity.
Honestly this is the worst possible conditions for breaking a WR.
Are you saying Jakob runs 10 seconds faster on a windless and cooler day? Does that mean 7:07 for 3k?????? LOL that would really throw me off a cliff for real!!!!!!!!
Era defining run from Jakob. I called out the idea he said he would break all the distance records and hasn't yet - and I was foolishly wrong. A record set in stone gone. I can see him now taking down the 1500 and 5000 record in the (immediate) future.

But he has to do it. This is extremely impressive but it's really the perfect distance for him. 3k is not run in the Olympics and neither is the 2k or 2 mile. He needs the 1500 WR to have a strong legacy given his championship failures, and he could be 5k GOAT if he moved up seriously, shaves a good chunk off the WR and starts obliterating everyone consistently.
