Brojos: Front page?
Absolutely obliterated it. One of the greatest performances in the history of distance running. How was this even possible??? He himself looked stunned at how fast he ran.
Converts to a 3:24 high 1500 based on the points table. He’s going to take a sledgehammer to that record in Zurich.
WOW the most doped record in history is now taken down.
Jakob has the super sauce baby
Insane 2:22 last k
And people here will still insist the 12:35 5K is not on borrowed time
Wow!!!! How does this dude lose any championship races? My g-d he’s strong. He laid waste to the record and the best runners of the day. 1500 record is going down this year with proper pacing. He is ready.
What would he have run if it hadn’t been 90° and humid?
jakob pls do steeple next pls jakob

He doesn't lose in the 5k which is his best event. Hasn't lost a 5k final since 2019
He's going to take down the 5k final soon
I'd just like to take a moment of silence for all the geniuses that keep estimating Jakob's 5000 potential as 12:48 in every thread about him.
Pure Hate on display?
Check out these splits what in the world
1 58.59
2 58.92
3 59.10
4 59.38
5 59.07
6 57.46
7 55.4
Ok on one hand we should recognize that we saw maybe the best track WR on the books, and regardless of whatever Jakob does in the future, we should take a moment to remember that holy crap 7:17 is incredible.
On the other hand, that's a 1:52 last 800, how freaking fast can he go? And El G 'only' managed 3:26/7:23/12:53. Jakob is at 3:26/7:17. What is his 5k gonna be? Is he in shape to break the 1500m or 5k WRs?
He only ran 3:27 a few days ago, could he have run like 7:14 in Monaco (1s faster per 1500m + more even split)? Or is he in the shape he was in Monaco and just didn't go all out in Lausanne?
Imagine running 3:38.8 times two?
This record will not be broken before the year 2100
He's in better shape now than he was during the 2 mile WR. This 3k WR was on borrowed time.

Don’t forget the 22mph gusts. Obviously, the heat and humidity was not a factor.

Also the "Jakob is only a 1:46 800m guy" crowd

Was it 3:41-3:36?
