Should be a great day to race Friday. 8 of the top ranked teams in the North Region and a UWL B-team will all face off. Any predictions? Can Bati or Lloyd break up the Whitewater duo? Will Power be overwhelmed by having two races to choose from and enter his top guys in the Open race to protect their national ranking? Will anyone have cell service to check live results?

Should be a good race for tomorrow, maybe a MIAC preview? And we can finally see where every team lies within the conference

Courses this weekend might get interesting with the precipitation. We'll see how adaptable teams are and where the depth really can shine, especially tonight closing in on the 8K at Blugold.

Carleton got rocked today

preliminary reports are suggesting that bowman and melville were going to do shrooms saturday but accidentally ate them for lunch before the meet, causing their underwhelming performance. unlucky mistake that could happen to anyone.

Some teams looked like they had a tough day. Results here:

St. John's ran two reserve squads with two freshman running sub 26:35. The future is bright!

Nick Ihrke made his season debut. Once he rounds into shape, I'd expect them to improve. Will an All-MIAC level performance push them into the top 3?

Carleton's 1500m men appear to be still figuring out the 8000m. They'll be better in a month. And a healthy Bowman is worth an additional 100 points off their score.

Power figured out which race to enter his team in and Olaf continued their tradition of having someone we've never heard of run sub 26. Bati's 120 mile week didn't allow him to hang with Kelly in the end, but I fully expect Llody and Bati to drop him in four weeks. The Ole JV squad did not look strong at all suggesting the Ole run might be done next year with four seniors in their varsity group. Stout put five in front of their top three in the JV race.

What did people think of the split race scenario? I liked that I could root for MIAC teams in a race that didn't matter. Except St. Olaf. I liked seeing them lose.

Definitely a pro-Bethel agenda on this forum, glad you could shatter the narrative. Totally out of place of us to say they are better than Gustavus and might break into the top half of the conference.

Also Carleton's B-squad is not that good, relative to their top 5. I don't think they would fare particularly well against the rest of the conference

Even I don't make fun of Bethel. That's a bit much. I'd be their assistant, Missy Rock, is still faster than you in her late 30's.

More importantly, it's Pre-Nats week! Will be interesting to see if the course is as tough as everyone says and how the Johnnies look at full force!

Another weekend of MIAC racing, another terrible NotKevBot take. Give up, dude; you clearly have no clue what you're talking about

If you watched this weekend and think anyone has a shot at stopping the Oles at conference, you're out of your mind. They put 5 in front of Nichols. Clearly, he and Bowman are not 100%, but if you're going to criticize the Oles for lacking depth, the Carls are clearly in a much larger hole. Oles will return 3 of their top 5, and most guys in that reserve race are underclassmen or true freshmen! Nothing changes in the MIAC except NotKevLoser is even dumber than previously believed.

Whitewater and La Crosse are still ahead of any MIAC teams, but the oles were closer than many expected.

We learned nothing this weekend except maybe the carls are worse than expected.

Rumor has it Curtis and Allen ran an 18-mile monster workout before the race on the road leading to the course. MIAC 1500 is going to be disgusting this spring.

Carlton Womens team put on a master class in team tatics, burrying other teams with a killer 2-3-4 finish. Thats by far the best team in the MIAC and we barley even talk about it

Where does this guy even get his information from? Makes claims on unfounded information at the earliest convenience, can't back up sources other than "big announcement" or "heard it through an anonymous source" with takes hotter than the Oles finish at Blugold. NotKevBot must be watching a different conference than everyone else here.

No way the Johnnie are third. They at worst split the Oles top 2 and their 3-6 is definitely stronger than the Oles. They will need some help from Scholastica's two, Bati, and the Carls frontrunners to create bigger gaps, but I can see a scenario where they even challenge the Oles.

The real question is whether the Bennies can beat the Oles. The Carleton women are untouchable, but the battle for second will be fierce with Fiona's low stick.

Other than Lloyd, no Johnnie has even come close to breaking 26 this season. 8 Oles have already done so. Maybe they could have if they didn't duck competition at Blugold. Even if Grove shows up and races like he did last track season, it wouldn't make a difference. I have no idea where St. John's is going to find 3 guys who can run in the 25:30's to match the Ole group. I don't think there's a question as to who wins conference this year, it's more of a question of how big the gap is between the Oles and the rest of the MIAC. Hope I'm wrong but it looks like the MIAC is becoming a 1 team conference in XC...
