This is the most negative post I've read on here. You literally agreed to get shot at because your loans were too big for you to pay back via conventional means. But instead of conceding that you shouldn't have had to do that to get an education, you double down on it and think it's a perfectly reasonable system.

You scrimped and saved because it was expensive and you could barely afford to go. Now you're denying help to people in the same situation. Don't glorify living in poverty, the United States is wealthy enough to have paid your college fees, it's a political decision that they weren't. I don't want to blow your mind but imagine a world so full of possibility that you could have gone to college AND had a vacation.

Apparently you missed the point. Everyone knows college is a ripoff. But it's your choice to get ripped off. Nobody is forcing you to go into debt.

The US is not wealthy. I don't know how you can call a country trillions in debt wealthy. If you feel inspired to help poor kids go to college, go ahead and give me your bank account number. I know plenty. Oh you don't want to? Congrats, you went through the same thought process as the OP.
