Pretti was murdered. He was shot from behind, disarmed at the time, and pretty much de-escalated completely. That should go as second degree murder, even if he was spitting and cursing at law enforcement and physically vandalizing law enforcement vehicles, even if the moron did come to an ICE protest armed and dangerous, which he did.
Renee Good, wonderful mother that she was, was not murdered as she was impeding and obstructing a Federal operation (supremacy clause) and put a LEO in harm’s way with her vehicle, no matter her intent.
