here is what happened. you have poorly trained ICE who have historically worked in the peripheries and shadows where their issues were hidden. they are literally on the border middle of nowhere in some desert waving failed migrants into a van at gunpoint. if someone got killed, and they occasionally did, we had an excuse.
or, they go by some meatpacking plant. it's a targeted raid of a specific place, not the pepper spray convoy from hell picking up anyone. we assume they are all illegal. we go about our day.
there is no video. few question their training or excuse.
you then send them into an urban area to unleash chaos in the form of stopping anyone brown. if questioned, "but we have this list of warrants for criminals." which isn't that long and wasn't what they are doing.
and the convoy from hell is now on some prolonged hours long push, all over town. and they are being followed and taped.
i am not sure how much is the new hires and how much is a culture outside of a more scrutinized PD or military, where you act in an aggressive way, no one questions it, and the supreme court backstops their behavior, "because it's not citizens they are grabbing." except we now see it often is.
i assume the meatpacking plant, same deal. i am sure some working stiff citizens work there alongside the migrants. no one cares because it's not athletes or wall street bankers or lawyers or influencers.

Yeah remember the majority (large) of Americans want more immigration enforcement. Only the radicals are like "Abolish ICE" "open borders." So forcing deal that scales back ICE tactics to what, say, Obama's ICE did... who deported just as many as Trump... is a big win. This admin wanted a flash, virtue-signalling, hardcored ICE they could meme about... that failed.
Democrats bite fingers off of ICE agents, throw bottles of urine at them, hit them with their cars, spit at them, kick their cars, block traffic, wrestle with them, resist arrest, loot stores, and somehow claim these are protected actions. All to protect illegal criminals. UNBELIEVABLE
