You know you are absolutely terrible athletically when a public forum discusses the fact that a 5:15 marathon is TOO FAST for your abilities.

I am all for getting people off the couch and exercising but walking hundreds of 26,2 distances (or less in most instances) under the guise of breaking marathon records is insane. Marathoning and walking 26.2 miles in 7 hrs is not the same. You think her heart rate ever gets above 100??

Is she really going to walk a marathon a day for five days without cheating?

This "stunt running" (as someone earlier in the thread described it), i.e. going for world records that have nothing to do with finish times, advances the public's perception of distance running as a fitness activity rather than a real sport. So many runners truly are trying to be the best at exercising. Which is fine, as long as they're not trying to sell themselves as being good runners. What annoys us Letsrunners about ultrarunners, Marathon Maniacs and the like is that many of them try to create an image of themselves as being world-class runners. Of course, the fact that they're "hiding out" in long distances automatically means they're not world-class runners.

They work if you cut and paste the whole URL. The "auto-hyperlink" from LRC doesn't read the ; and cuts the link off halfway.

I can't help w the mainly marathons this weekend but looks like there is one in GA coming up. I am just annoyed enough at this cheater that I would consider taking the vacation day to volunteer.

Where is it?

We start in Baker, MT and head to ND, SD, WY and finish in NE. That where she cheated last year.

This FL runner will keep an eye on her. Let's see if she can go five marathons in five days without cheating.

What stands out most to me in this thread is something that is not included. PM publicaly defending herself. SURELY she has to be aware of the accusations.

I put some comments on FB photos of her that were deleted in a matter of seconds. Bummer. I like my hatred to spread.

Day 1 (Sept.17): Baker, Montana

Day 2 (Sept.18): Bowman, North Dakota

Day 3 (Sept.19): Belle Fourche, South Dakota

Day 4 (Sept.20): Sundance, Wyoming

Day 5 (Sept.21): Chadron, Nebraska

I say 6:15:00 is the current over/under. Anyone care to dispute it?

Seeing how she is such a "smart" runner who loves to pick it up when the times get tough, I am going to say 6:45 on Day 1. This will also leave room to get faster each of the next four days.

I am also not ruling out a DNF here now that everyone will have eyes on her. Being on her feet for 35 hours in 5 days just may not be possible for ole PM after such a grueling year so far. Especially since she recently hammered out the worlds toughest and all. #PMthebadwatercheater
