Second, it seems completely reasonable to tell an athlete to get tested for asthma at the time of year he/she is actually having allergic reactions/ asthma attacks as Salazar did for Fleshman.

OK, fine but this is just YOUR OPINION...and professional athletes who make their living by pushing their bodies to the absolute limit may reasonably disagree. Where exactly do you draw the lines? If an athlete develops shin splints should they not just listen to their bodies and reduce training...or does an anti-inflammatory become "doping"?

As for the Cytomel...it turns out that Kara was already on a different prescription for thyroid...so in the end Salazar wasn't really far off anyhow.

Look, I think Epstein, Magness et. al. are completely credible....but it's all very thin soup when you look at what can actually be proven.

Since this started I have been interested in hearing more about the use of testosterone and the vial story. To me, the anonymous runner and the androgel / vials story have been the key items to address. The other items are interesting but are either (1) something that may be a legal issue more than a clear cheating issue (cytomel, drugs in mail) or (2) an issue for more people than just Galen, he is just the best example - the use of asthma meds or thyroid meds. I can name lots of runners with asthma meds and apparently there are many on thyroid meds. Whether that is ok is a fair question and people should discuss it as a general matterSome people seem to mix the two issues together. Also, it's not clear what the '17 people' are alleging. Is it microdosing or the TUE? Are they saying they cheated? I do not doubt their sincerity, I am just wondering what is being alleged.

5. Illegal performance enhancing drugs. The allegations extend far beyond just TUEs. Note the testosterone on Galen's chart, note the Androgel in Salazar's room during the training camp, note Salazar's son being tested for testosterone to see what levels they can reach without being detected, note the witness testimony of NOP doctors telling the anonymous runner that he will get him on testosterone to even out his levels. Also note the non-definitive circumstantial evidence of unlabeled vials in cabs and training camp. It ain't just about thyroid and inhalers

What does being on thyroid meds have to do with testing your own son for testosterone?

What does it have to do with sending unmarked pills to Germany?

What does it do with encouraging athletes to take prescription drugs in a way not prescribed by the doctor?

What does it have to do with telling athletes to take a prescription drug they don't have a prescription for?

What does it have to do with coaching athletes how to fail an asthma test?

What does it have to do with coaching athletes on how to get an IV?

What does it have to do with giving testoboost (at a minimum) to 16 year old?

What does it have to do with threatening a lawsuit against LetsRuncom for allowing people to make many of the allegations that appeared in the BBC report?

The BBC yes. But most Brits could tell you that the Daily Mail is known as a joke paper in the UK.

Daily Mail tends to be sensationalist in it's coverage of some political stories but the sports reporting is known to be excellent and as a result regularly wins awards for it's quality.

I'm not impressed with the Daily MailSport's coverage. Maybe Matt Lawton is worthy of a Pulitzer, but he just seems like a jerk in his story. (Oliver Holt also seemed to missed the boat with his "arrogance" outrage). They must get paid by the word. I guess he has a story to write, a deadline to meet, and is trying to keep himself relevant after his major award.

Salazar did say that he would respond "at the end of the week." According to Salazar's Clintonian contortions of the English language, we now know that "testosterone" actually means "testoboost" and "by the end of the week" actually means "by the end of Shark Week" or "by the end of Hanukkah."
