You don't have any idea what it takes to run a 10.4 or sub 11 100 either. David Rudisha runs a 45.5 400. If you knew anything about sprinting, you would know the 400 is a sprint. to run a 45 400 , a person would have to least be able to run 21.0 flat. TO run a 21 flat their 100 would have to be at the worst 10.7. There is no way someone can run 11 and not break 22.

Just read this old thread. I never knew Lewandowsni didn’t run that 100! Who the heck was Lewandowicz? Was he an 800 runner?
David Rudisha can not and never did race a sub-11 FAT 100m. At Rudisha's peak, he only needed to be able to race 21.5 in order to race 45.xx 400m.
It's hilarious that not one person has doubted that Rudisha - a fast-twitch type of 800m guy who is running in water even at the end of a 1000m - could run a 2:11 marathon if he did a little bit of training for it, simply because he is Kenyan.
An no doubt the implicit assumption being made in the one thing that is disagreed upon - that Rudisha could run sub 10.4 100m - is that he couldn't because he is East African rather than of West African descent, despite being a 400m based 800m world record holder.
One day I'll be as racist than the average LetsRunner, but not anytime soon.
Rudisha is finished now. Nigel Amos is returning to the top now. I predict Amos will got gold in Tokyo and will get a new WR in the 800m(not sure what race exactly).

You read too much into my opinion on David Rudisha and 100m. Unless one grows up playing American football, one is not going to be used to being motionless at start to near full speed by 30m. I am certain Rudisha never worked on getting to maximum sprint speed by 55 metres and holding maximum sprint speed to 70m. I am certain Rudisha never worked on managing his deacceleration 85m to 100m. I am sure Rudisha never worked on his start out of blocks. I am certain Rudisha did not spend hours sitting down with a sprint coach analyzing his sprinting form in super slow motion. I gave latitude and longitude of his birth place no concern.
