i ran a hard 8 on saturday after watching the webcast because i was so excited about hall's performance... this was before hearing about ryan shay. thought about shay the entire 6 miles on sunday as i ran a pedestrian pace and tried to soak in the sites, sounds, smells of a beautiful georgia autumn day that i felt especially fortunate to be living...
i'm about 2 weeks into the 'long road back' after taking a few months after graduating college, getting married, moving hundreds of miles away from my comfort zone... hall's race pushed me through my best run back, and i think shay's legacy might catapult me back into consistent training through the winter for a great spring race.
