Ok. I’m posting this without seeing any comments. Just want to pose my comments fresh .

It seems to me the doubling format is no special sauce. 1) they don’t have any way to show you quickly who won the “slam” with graphics etc

2) each race is half as important because of the format not more important. in the women’s 1500 I did pay a little more attention to see if Hiltz finished 3rd or 4th but that actually didn’t matter.

3) the women’s hurdles just finished. I’m now supposed to care who might be better at 100 than the actual race they all focus on?

if they want to do event groups fine. give $50k for each event wins maybe give a $25k bonus for the overall winner if they want.

If she has just dropped out because she isn't in the money the entire integrity of your event starts coming into question. I said this on a thread maybe 2-3 weeks ago that athletes either mailing it in or not giving full effort when they were out of the $$$ was going to be a terrible optic especially with small fields and Wejo basically suggested that was crazy.

Well here we are in our first second-leg of an MD/LD group and we had someone just not even bother starting and another in Goule-Toppin just jog it in probably quite happy with the minimum prize $$$ because the difference between that and a place or two higher just wasn't worth it.

Once again, the entire concept needs a year 2 rethink/rework.

Jess Hull came out of nowhere to run 3:50 at 27 years old last year and win the Olympic silver after doing absolutely her whole career….and now she’s back to doing nothing. Let’s see what she’ll do this year. Love her personality but I just can’t get over her freakish progression.
