I'm not sure about that. I think the bigger stereotypical conclusion that EVERYONE made when they saw this story described as follows on the homepage "HS track athlete stabbed in heart and killed by another at Texas 5A-11 District meet" was this - they assumed a male stabbed another male.
The point I'm making is people make assumptions in their heads ALL the time. It's human nature. Society freaks out about certain assumptions but hardly even recognizes other more common assumptions

I don’t think things are out of hand. We just have more people. People have always been violent, very violent, look throughout history. Problem is we only had about 2 billion people on earth up until 1920 or so, I think. Now we have 8 billion. Therefore, it’s simple, math, more people, more crazy people, per capita.

it certainly does, people used to get away with poisoning, people, ax, murdering, etc. you might not even have heard about it because you were in a town more than a couple miles away with no mass media, Internet, etc. People are violent. It’s just in the nature of some people. Others are blood thirsty for whatever other reason.
Was waiting for someone to bring this up. "Schrödinger's mass shooting" is what I like to call it. Libs pump up the mass shooting statistics with inner city gang shootouts to reach the "10 trillion mass shootings a day in America" talking points they need for gun control, but then conveniently use a much stricter definition of mass shooting when they want to discuss them individually. The "crazy incel white dude" type shooting is actually very rare, you probably have a better chance of being killed by lighting.
This sort of informational literacy is vitally important, especially in the lightning-quick info-sharing ecosystem of the internet. It will never not be worth it to point out little truth-fudging tricks people use, no matter what “side” they’re on nor what their motive is for doing the fudging.

We should be trying to help people get out of cyclical/generational poverty. Look back at recent history to see why there are more blacks and Hispanics in poverty than whites. It's lazy thinking to say it's about race.
Another interesting statistic is about mass shootings. Now, let's ask ourselves, why is there an overrepresntation of white males who commit mass shootings and school shootings compared to any other racial group? Something is going on there.
