You mention again and again that Ingebrigtsen has lost (which means: not won) the last three global 1500m finals).
Sebastian Coe - one of the all-time greats in the 800m - has not won a global 800m gold during his full career (and has even lost two european finals over the distance and has skipped a commonwealth final).
Steve Ovett - one of the all-time greats in the 1500m - has not won a global 1500m gold during his full career (a bronce, that's it).
Kenenisa Bekele - for most here the greatest distance runner in history - has lost his first two global 5000m finals (and has skipped the next two occasions).
Ron Clarke - one of the all-time great distance record setters - has lost all his global and commonwelath finals during his full career (10 over 5000m/10000m).
Mo Farah - the most decorated track distance runner in history - has not won any global gold until age 28.
You can puff Ingebrigtsen up but his failure to win a championship title since 2021 in his main event speaks for itself.
I dont "puff" up Ingebrigtsen at all.
What do you think of Coe's 800m record?
He will not answer...

Ingebrigtsen's record at 1500m is much better than Coe's at 800m.
The 5k isnt is "main" event - he hardly races it. He runs many more 1500 races. You only say it is his main event because he hasn't had the crucial losses he has over the distance he races most often.
You’re confused Armstronglivs.
The 1500 is his favorite event. His main event—his best event—his bread and butter—his 9 to 5—is the 5000. Jakob plays by different rules. His dominance in the 5000 means he can spend the majority of his time working on his hobby: the 1500.
Jakob is so good at his hobby—routinely embarrassing so-called “1500m specialists”, consistently capturing WLs, getting ducked at Euro Championships—that people confuse it for his day job.
You are confused. His best event is the 5000m. His main event is the 1500m. The one he keeps getting embarrassed in by grabbing the world lead and then losing the championship.
When confronted with their PBs in longer events you stated that Coe is a 800m/1500m runner.
That's correct. And Ingebrigtsen is a 1500m to 5000m runner who clearly tends to the long distances.
Why didn't you compare him to Bolt in the Sprints?
I compared him with Coe because another poster had already referred to Coe and had said Coe had failed to win over the 800. So that is why I continued the comparison. But it doesn't matter what Coe did over 800 - or what Ingebrigtsen does over the 5k. In respect of the distance they share - the 1500/mile - Coe has championship victories Ingebrigtsen can never now match as well as being a multiple world record holder over the distance which Ingebrigtsen hasn't achieved.
You compared the 800m PBs of Coe and Ingebrigtsen. The first being one of the all-time greats of the event (despite having a very bad championship record in the event) and the second who has never competed internationally in the event.
When confronted with the fact that Coe's PBs in the longer events are terribly weak compared to Ingebrigtsen's extremely strong marks, you comment that Coe is a 800m to 1500m runner. That's right. And Ingebrigtsen so far is a 1500m to 5000m runner (who most likely will run longer events later in his career).
This Episode (just like dozens of others) show that you have absolutely no interest in a serious discussion about the subject.
1500 is far from Ingebrigtsen's best distance, but for sure he can match Coe's achievements over the distance. He currently isn't far behind him with 1 OG gold, 2 WC silvers, 1 WIC silver, 3 EC gold, 3 EIC gold, no. 4 and no. 3 1500m/Mile all-time, many DL wins, WIRs 1500m and Mile.
A 1500m WR and he definitely has passed Coe over the distance.
Also looking at all achievements he already is close to him and might pass him this summer. Let's wait what he can do. Currently he is much better than he was last year at the same point.
You are confused. His best event is the 5000m. His main event is the 1500m. The one he keeps getting embarrassed in by grabbing the world lead and then losing the championship.
Nothing embarrassing about having a little fun in the Olympic 1500 final—taking the lead and pacing the 1500m specialists to their lifetime PRs before hitting the wall.
What’s embarrassing is leaving Paris without a gold medal around your neck or getting fifth in the USOT 5K.
I don't "care" about it; it simply shows Ingebrigtsen isn't yet amongst the best in the history of his event. Claims to the otherwise are demonstrably wrong.
Jakob’s career is better than all 3 Paris medalists combined.
edit: frankly better than the entire currently competing, world class male distance runner population, on the track combined if you take out Cheptegei
It isn't about "careers"; it is who are the best 1500/milers today - he keeps losing to others - and is he yet amongst the best in the event in history. No - he isn't.

The 1500 isnt his "favourite" event - unless he likes losing. He races it far more often than any other distance. So it's his main event. He's actually better over the 2k and 3k than any other event, so notwithstanding the fact he doesn't race these events very often you would have to say the 2k or 3k is his "main" event, not the 5k, where he is comparably slower.

What's embarrassing is how the next guy keeps beating him in the event he races most often. If he doesn't mind losing maybe he should also enter the 800 for "a little fun"?

Yep, running a championship race 3:28 from the front is an exceptional effort. The same way Tim's 3:29 in Doha WC was exceptional. There is nothing embarrassing about it.

lol. If you are the favorite to win the title, have dominated the diamond league circuit, and has run the fastest time for 3 consecutive seasons, it’s definitely embarrassing to not win. Championships are about winning not just putting up a good effort.
Jakob, himself, said he was embarrassed in 2022. It’s only gotten worse since and the stakes were higher - he definitely feels embarrassed whether you feel like it was embarrassing or not.

He wins more than he loses. You focus on his losses. The mentality of a loser.

He loses the big ones. They are the ones that matter. No global championship win in his main event since 2021. That isn't one of the "greats" at the distance.

There was nothing embarrassing about Tim winning. Paris is another story. The front-runner didn't place.
