Is it disproportionate crime or disproportionate policing? Most blacks are in jail for petty drug crimes. Suburban whites use as much as blacks, they don’t get caught at the same rate.
Police go where the crime is so they may witness more crime because they're there.
At the same rate that's using the same argument as everyone else on the freeway was speeding why did you pull me over? If you're not committing crimes you're not going to get caught for crimes. It doesn't matter if other people are doing it and getting away with it too if you just don't commit the crime you don't have to worry about being arrested for it.
Contrary to the narrative The police aren't out there setting up people to put them in jail, every officer I know likes boring chefs or they don't have to arrest people because that just brings with it risk.
There are some police officers who are bad people. Whether they're just bullies or also racist bullies. The vast majority are not though. The problem is how loyal they are to each other, so they protect the worst of the worst police officers from any sort of accountability. I have a lot of respect for police. It's not a job I would want to do, and maybe the lack of accountability is some type of necessary evil because the job is so hard and so thankless.

Here’s an example simple one - 10 people are carrying drugs, 5 white people, 5 black people.
Cops stop and arrest 4 of the black people an 1 of the white people.
Morons like you will claim backs are 4 times more likely to commit crimes than whites. But, the truth is blacks are 4 times more likely to get arrested.

Do you know why I'm not worried about being arrested for drugs? It's not because I'm white it's because I just don't use or carry drugs. I don't even smoke weed.

So you really think middle class suburbs (majority white, black, or other) have similar homicide rates as Baltimore or DC?
This is mostly a consequence of all the disproportionate crime they do. Being poor is no excuse for committing crime.

Maybe the whites are smarter than the blacks and that is why they don't get caught, assuming that what you say is true (which I doubt).
Law enforcement is subject to humam nature too, and they aren't going to "overpolice" when they can do the bare minimum and still go home with a paycheck.
Do you think that agencies hand out bonuses for busting black users?
A friend of mine has a good illustration of how systemic barriers can persist even if no one is out there "oppressing" people. In college, he had a summer job doing door-to-door sales. One day, someone who answered the door (and didn't buy anything) asked if he'd like a glass of cold water. He'd been out in the sun all day, and was grateful for it. Later, he mentioned this to his co-workers. They said, "Oh yeah, that usually happens a couple of times a day. It's great." My friend had been doing the job all summer, and this was the first time it had happened to him.
None of the individual home owners who *didn't* offer him water were racist for not offering him water. There's no expectation that anyone should offer random passing salespeople water. I certainly don't. But the fact is that his experience in this particular job, as a black man, was different from the experience of all his white co-workers. Not getting a glass of water is not a hardship and didn't affect his path through life, but it illustrates the way that skin color can affect your experience in ways that are totally invisible to others and don't require any explicit racism (not that there's a shortage of that out there too, as this thread so nicely illustrates).
Contrary to your qualification that "None of the individual home owners who *didn't* offer him water were racist for not offering him water," I would say that any white person who decides not to offer a thirsty black person water in the same situation where they would offer a thirsty white person water, is indeed an overt racist and has made a deliberate and conscious choice based solely a black person's appearance as to whether to (easily) provide some aid and comfort.
You are describing what I can't help but believe would be a highly anomalous area in America with respect to overt racism.
Assume minimum of 2 white co-workers. Assume your black friend and 2 white co-workers each approach 30 homes a day. Assume summer job is 90 working day days. Fact: 2 white co-workers get offered 2 waters per day (minimum) and black friend is offered 1 water in the entire summer.
White salesperson gets offered water - 6.67% of the time (2 waters / 30 homes X 100)
Black salesperson gets offered water - .037% of the time (1 water / (30 homes X 90 days) X100)
Using assumptions and stated facts, white salesperson is 180 times (6.67 / .037) more likely to be offered water than black salesperson. That is 179,000% more likely to be offered water than a black salesperson.
That's an enormous difference. And that's assuming only 2 white co-workers. For every added white co-worker, the difference goes up 90 times - so if there are 5 co-workers, a white salesperson in this area is 450 times more likely (449,000% more likely) than a black salesperson to be offered water. Nothing but glaring, overt, and almost conspiratorial racism, could account for that statistic.
What neighborhood or geographic area are you referring to? You should name it if you can, because while facts and data are scarce in your story and I had to make some assumptions, this sounds like Gestapo-ville that you are describing. For the record, before you name the place, and if it isn't clear yet, I think you and/or your black friend are totally full of sh!t.

A feature of white privilege is the inability to see it. That's because they who have it have no experience of what it is like to be lesser because of their race.
You only wrote two sentences and yet I, a white man born in the Bronx in the 1960s, cannot reconcile them. I cannot see that I have white privilege so, perhaps, according to your first sentence, I have it. But according to your second sentence my inability to see my white privilege is because I "have no experience of what it is like to be lesser because of [my] race."
You are wrong. I have for several decades now seen countless job announcements encouraging "women and minorities" - not me - to apply. I was told by a supervisor in one of my government-agency employers that he had gotten lots of applicants for a job but was told to try to hire an "Asian female." (He did and I did not get the job.) In another of my jobs I heard a sub-contractor tell that my employer probably only selected his company because it qualified as a "woman- or minority-owned company" and helped my employer satisfy some government edict. He admitted to gaming the system: he listed his wife as the company-owner and said he could, he supposed, if challenged, say that she sometimes did work for his two-man outfit. The same story could be told by others in millions of companies that simply identified some person of a racial minority as the owner, or claimed falsely, like Senator Elizabeth Warren, of some native-American ancestry.
Asians in the US get preferential treatment in government jobs. US Post Offices, for a conspicuous example, here in New York City seem to have no shortage of east or south Asian employees. But these same groups are disfavored in school admissions, like whites or even more so.
You make little sense.
To me, "Affirmative Action" policies have hurt everyone, particularly those they most purport to help. They presume the underperformance of minority groups is due to racial discrimination long ago rather than one now long-running pathology: high out-of-wedlock birth rates (despite high rates of direct abortion). I heard one of my black co-workers lamenting recently that he doesn't hear other groups talking about "baby-mamas." He continued, asking why blacks do this to themselves. I kept my mouth shut, but agreed with him in silence.

tldr (and the numbers/percentages are a turn off)
I could give you a really condensed version with no numbers, percentages or any math stuff at all. Would you read that? Because I'm really fvcking crushed that you didn't read my post.

Do you know why I'm not worried about being arrested for drugs? It's not because I'm white it's because I just don't use or carry drugs. I don't even smoke weed.
So the white people get to carry drugs, but the black people don’t?
Your dumb ass solution still includes white privilege.

The biggest privilege when it comes to carrying drugs is being a police officer's son. My buddy got pulled over on his way to buy weed while smoking weed. Taking literal bong hits on the road. Name dropped his dad, a local deputy sheriff. The officers confiscated the bong and remaining weed, gave him a $150 misdemeanor and sent him on his way. He then went and purchased the weed he was on his way to purchase and took a different route home.

WTF? Forget my offer. Comprehension, not length, is what trips you up.
Letsrun is all about denial. It may be doping-denial or denial of the misogyny that runs rampant in this place. It obviously includes denial of the historical imbalances based on race - which have been at the heart of US culture for centuries. White power has been at the core of the creation of the US as a country. It has never been corrected. So privilege remains. But maintaining that privilege clearly also requires denying it exists - as threads like this show. .
