Dana Hills 7th?
#1 is on par with Aaron Sahlman, #3 is on par with Seymour and #5 is better than Cantu (Cantu was fastest #5 at NXN last year).
How do you get 7th with that?
Sane for San Clemente. 6th?
Their #3 is faster than Dana Hills and their #5 is on par with Dana Hills. Their #1 is not as good as Dana Hills, but he is a sub 15 guy
Arguably, both (2023) San Clemente and Dana Hills could have won NXN last year.
I may be totally wrong, but I don’t understand why California teams are being ranked so low.
Be serious. Neither of this year's San Clemente or Dana Hills could have touched last year's NP. NP won last year with 66 points. Lex and Leo ran stupid races. Dev Doshi was not feeling well and they still crushed the field.

Seriously. There’s being a homer and being an effing idiot. You can guess which one this is.

It’s because just about everyone outside of California (proof is in Letsrun post over the years) believe that CIF runners don’t run real X-Country, therefore they’re weak runners on a “real” X-Country course. Yet if you look at the history of NXN CIF teams and individuals have performed very well.

I am not saying that San Clemente would have won with NP at its best, but that they could have won with the NP that showed up at NXN. Sick Doshi. Probably Leo and Lex were also covering something, but they still won.

As a california runner this is wrong. Stop overhyping them, you are makimg me stressed they are going to underperform because of the conditions. San Clemente and Dana Hills are good teams but they don't hold anything to Newbury Park. The only team that could have been competitive with Newbury Park 2022 was Newbury park 2021.

Dude, NP running a subpar race still scored 66 points. I live in California and have followed San Clemente (and Dana Hills) all season. SC is a great story but NP was just at another level.
And yet people are saying that Colorado should be put in the Heartland region.
that scoring doesn't make any sense. individual placements in the boys race are as follows
California - 8,9,19,24,26
Midwest - 2,10,27,35,46
New York - 67,74,92,131,137
South - 31,36,44,50,53
Southeast - 15,16,25,30,47
Southwest - 1,4,6,37,60
I present the most compelling case yet why new york should lose their region. 5 other regions put their top 5 (auto) individuals in before new york had a single individual in.
