My 6 hours have involved doing things that I find interesting that aren't the same as yours - but that might surprise one with such a limited and self-absorbed perspective as you have.
You say you care about the sport but you remain oblivious to what it has become, like an adherent devoted to a cult that cannot be seen to be flawed.
More vacuous and juvenile insults from you. How predictable.
You are the one who seems like an adherent, blindly devoted to the cult of Everyone Faster Than What I Deem Possible Clean Is A Doper.
I am not oblivious, I just enjoy talking about the performances, the training, without your constant, obsessive, thread-derailing doping accusations. And when a doper is caught, I also enjoy talking about doping and its impact on the sport I love.
Take care, and get some rest 😘
You say you enjoy talking about doping but you work very hard not to see it. Only 1% of tests are positive and yet athlete surveys show up to 1 in 2 top athletes could be doping. It could even be more. There is no way clean athletes can succeed in that environment. You have no idea of the impact of doping on the sport you say you love.
That's what it would seem like for recreational runners or people who are never close to the elite level that these people are at. It's incomprehensible for so-called "normal people" to comprehend how these monsters can run so fast even if they are clean which is the case in all likelihood and proven to the contrary, Kipyegon is.
Well, yes - they are "monsters". Clearly not natural.
Sir, you have been making libelous statements about many African runners for a long time now. In England, you would run the risk of facing court for your statements. I assume it would be same in the United States, where you are from? (not sure about your provenance). Your arguments are usually quite predictable, but unfortunately lack verifiable substance, evidence or proof. It is fortunate, perhaps, that the athletes in question and their coaches do not read Letsrun, as they have better things to do. If they did, they would not appreciate your statements.
What a load of ignorant tosh. At Doha, Kipyegon improved on her previous best by over 2 seconds - before she had had a baby. So after childbirth she was way faster than before. That's how "vulnerable" she was.
The "notice" that Hassan put Kipyegon on was that she had to dope even more if she wished to win. She has obviously done that. She has improved from 3:56 to 3:49. That's doping. You haven't a clue.
To dope even more? LOL what kind of doping is this that works in incremental rungs. Surely
There are many drugs in WADA'S banned list, which has to be regularly updated. There are many more that as yet can't be detected. Doping changes all the time, to stay ahead of testing. It is the true "science" of sport - a chemical arms-race. It is the basis for constant improvements in athletic performance when training and technique have changed little.
She is faster - way faster - than any other doped athlete in the sport - and the sport is full of them, but they can't be caught. That isn't possible for a clean athlete. In her twenties she has also improved 7 seconds in 7 years, despite competing seriously from an early age. I suppose if she was doping you would think she would have improved 10-15 seconds? 3:46-42? The wilful blindness amongst fans today is off the charts.
Aye brah..get help you has an obsession with people who is more fast then you. It's gonna be okay brah. We all has our level of talents. Stop the obsession.
Armstrong, Johnson, Jones, Bonds, Ramzi, Kiprop - and of course a horde of Kenyan distance runners - the obsession with doping clearly goes on. Amongst athletes.
Well, yes - they are "monsters". Clearly not natural.

This site has discussed doping amongst athletes for years. Have you only just noticed?
You may disagree but I hold to the view that top level running (like many other sports) wouldn't exist without doping - and it has been so for decades.
It might be that she does an asbel kiprop. Failing a drug test when she is on the decline. Now she is too big. She can prolly bribe the doping officials in Kenya or somehow trick the system! It does not hurt that she has kipchoges coach! I bet they know all the tricks in the box...

So do true fan sit idly by and watch the integrity of the sport slip into oblivion?

If you believe (as Armstronglivs, astro, and their ilk clearly do) that there is no integrity in the sport to start with, and that anyone who runs faster than a leather shoe-clad and poorly trained amateur on a cinder track did 60 years ago is automatically a cheater, then you're not a fan. You're a hater tormenting themselves by following a sport they have no reason, by their own logic, to enjoy (and tormenting the rest of us by spewing their whiny, thread-derailing bile into every corner of this messageboard because misery really does only love company).
But nobody can name a runner they think is clean who could run 4:07 dirty. Faith is just faster and better and working harder than everybody. Clean or dirty.
Faith Kipyegon is clearly doping, not only is she doping but her doping regiment is enough to where she can beat the best dopers ever by 5 seconds.
What's terrible about this is that it can't be healthy. We've seen many weight lifters die from steroid usage and cycling die from doping related issues. Faith Kipyegon has set a standard that you must risk your life to compete for a medal in the women's 1500...

As if any of the 'just enjoy the spectacle' crowd here care about that.

This is such a nonsensical comment. You’re basically saying if the other athletes only worked harder they be 10 seconds faster. So many lazy elite runners out there. Only the Kenyans and Ugandans truly know what hard work is.
The only way Kipyegon isn’t doped to the gills is if she’s part space alien.

Maybe this person is saying that people carry on with allegations on this site as if they have access to FK’s urine and a chemistry set. The evidence is that she ran a ground shattering WR in the course of a ground shattering year. Everyone in the race but one pr’d, there were 5 national records set. There is as much evidence on FK as there is on Alicia Monson, or Hiltz and Hull and Muir - that they too are all dirty because they ran out of their heads and broke records. Some clown has a string saying Monson’s AR proves Houlihan was clean. This string would say Monson’s AR proves she is dirty. The evidence is that FK is just better than everyone, and if it’s not just talent the it’s work and workouts and expertise that is elevating her. If she gets busted she should be banned. But for now the complaining is just a bunch of BS. She’s Bolt. Maybe that’s the bottom line. No evidence to the contrary.

Sure Kipyegon has been an outstanding performer for many years that’s undisputed. But what is also undisputed is that she’s recently joined the Patrick Sang stable to train alongside Kipchoge. Regrettably 2 athletes under the instruction of Sang have been busted relatively recently and much to my surprise Kipchoge has never even acknowledged this let alone come down hard on their doping choices. - This raises a flag and provides a demonstrable link to doping. Kipyegon has broken three world records within 2 months since being with Sang……..
A community that savors going home DEVASTATED over extraordinary performance. Stay away from bridges and overpasses. This burst of excellence will pass and you all can go back to crapping on the failures that fascinate you - soon. This uproar is hilarious.
