And then I look at the results and realized he was "correcting" himself from "she" rather than actually referring to a second person. Pretty sure the announcer makes the same "mistake" again at the end when the clip cuts out lol.
Anyway, that rant aside, I can't really give an opinion on a DQ from this angle. I'd like to see the front angle to see how much room she had on the inside. It looked like there was a little bit of contact there, but it may have even been after the finish line. Really need to see it from another angle.
This is one of the most contentious posts I've seen (117 likes and 113 dislikes as of me posting this). Count me in the like column but barely.
I think as time goes by, they/them will become more typical and we'll just get used to it. We're making a big stink about it now.
OR...we'll come to realize that this is really just a stupid attention grab. I'm not a fan of Nikki. When they first came out, it seemed like they just wanted to identify a certain way and were cool with everyone, but it wasn't long until they were using it against people posting loong victimy posts about being "misgendered" for attention and sympathy. I get tired of it because it also feels like they have made it their whole personality.

Nikki really triggers the conservatives. So much so that they end up arguing against their own belief that your birth gender should define the category you’re allowed to race in. it makes for some decent entertainment.

I’ve done some officiating it’s a judgment call on this one - if an official had called a dq it could be justified
