What I mean is that she is already on an Adidas sponsored team and she already has the Adidas logo on her clothes. So what more does Adidas get out of this while she's in college that Adidas isn't already getting?
She’ll post stuff online wearing adidas sh!t. Plus make sure she mentions them whenever possible. I’m assuming the main thing is rights to her when she leaves ncstate and actually goes pro
Idk how the NIL deals work but basic social media micro influencer (10k or less followers), you can make decent $$ per post working with different brands if you know what you are doing.
I hope that she can really capitalize on the deal and they are paying her well. I guess Hicks has a popular YouTube channel, maybe he will be the next one?
These new rules are BS. I had to pass up a bit of money when I was in college to retain my eligibility which could have seriously helped me survive once I graduated. I easily passed up $5,000 plus its pennies now but at the time it could have really helped me not have to rely on family while I was reinventing myself right after school. It also would have prevented me from trashing my body running crazy distances that I was not ready for. I was an 800m/1500m man in college. I immediately won $2,500, $5,000, and then an additional $2,500 in a marathon debut that I was not ready for all just to eat. Plus, the $5,000 I passed up I could have had $15,000 put away so I didn’t have work some stupid job as a bar back and waiting tables for survival. I eventually joined the military because I got sick of the rat race. Now it’s like here keep all the money you get. I might be alone on this, but I think it is bogus because for those of us that did win some pro track races in college and passed up the paychecks might feel like we got ripped off when now money is allowed. Don’t get me wrong I personally feel if you earn it you should keep it I just think it is a kick in the face to those of us that had to pass up our earned jackpots when we earned it fair and square.
Read Gault's article and of course the agent wouldn't comment + even the pro contracts are tight-lipped, but any guesses as to the numbers?
literally no clue but this is the first time that a nil deal "was handled through adidas’ sports marketing department for running", the same team that manages pro contracts, she was also represented by a famous pro agent .. so i think that nil deal IS FAT! get that bread KT! good for her!
No. Very few people watch XC. Casual fans tune in for the Olympics. Valby will dominate Tuohy on the track. Cook will beat Tuohy on the track. Roe will beat Tuohy on the track.

gotta love your enthusiasm tho, it all starts with a dream they say
late on this but .. what i learned about katelyn's nil contract is that it was handled by sports agent ray flynn (flynn sports), top agent in the us distance running, most students which have nil deals get it through school collective and other groups, people commission etc
while katelyn's was handled like it was a professional contract deal, so this wasnt just a nil deal, this is a downpayment for when she goes pro ... surely.
If accurate, pretty darn good. Will leave school with a free degree and say a little over 100k in take home pay all while have very little adult expenses. A nice buffer to start her adult life!

Go down to your samtamdard supermarket and ask who Tom Brady or Michael Jordan are and people will know. Ask them who came first and second in the 2022 NCAA XC championship and I bet you get more guesses of Usain Bolt than either of them.
