So people that watch this guy's running videos are a cult? Seriously?
I think a more accurate take is this:
the guy makes simple, harmless running related youtube videos and a good share of posters on this message board have deficiencies in their own lives and feel a need to build themselves up by tearing down. They do this instead of just not watching the videos.
we now have another no-name youtuber that is creating a youtube video to assess and critique the guy's training. What's next?
Don't be dishonest. His video was not created to "assess and critique" Seth's training. Besides, for someone who complains about LRC bashing and disparaging Seth and his life, you sure sound balanced when calling that youtuber a "no-name".
I enjoyed his video, his unbiased analysis and comparison of three different approaches to training.
And another guy makes simple harmless data driven analytics of the training of three different runners and people come here to bash him as cringeworthy noname youtube because....? yeah because why ..you tell me?

The guy who feel the need to relentlessly defend some random youtuber from some discussion regarding his training on a running forum.
Here's my question. Can anyone predict what kind of effect Seth's in race nutrition plays on his race time? I've watched his videos and there is limited explanation on his strategy on fueling (liquid and gel intake). I feel this is a huge piece of the puzzle that is missing on his quest for faster marathon times....
But he's not just making some harmless videos - he's selling a coaching service off the back of this.
The people that feel the need to go into the Strava or IG comments of pro's like Molly Seidel or Charlotte Purdue and give unsolicited advice ARE indeed a******s for doing so.
But Seth is selling a coaching service and so it's good for consumers that people can ask questions. None of the legitimate questions on here are in anyway rude or putting him down - people want to know WHY he's training like he is, what is he basing his goals & predictions off of.
Would it not be insane if you were told to "stop tearing down Pizza Hut" if someone asked why the chefs weren't cleaning their hands?

I think this is part of the reason he had major GI issues the last race actually, he only used caffeinated maurtens iirc. Idk how many he would have taken by 13mi but a few of those plus a morning coffee could be enough to do it for a small guy. In his vlog the other day he picked up the uncaffeinated ones so hopefully that's not an issue this time.

Nice way to keep this thread alive, bottom dweller. I get that you actually try to come across as an idiot, as the more stupid you sound the better chance of getting hits - but, just stop. Everyone knows very well that Seth (and any Youtube type) love any kind of attention, good bad or otherwise, as it just drives up hits to their sites. You've also (well done) doubled down on your stupidity with gaslighting, it's painfully clear that the vast majority of the comments are critiques of his training (which you would want on a running message board) and not just random "bashing" the guy. NB put him up for that as well as flowing him a bunch of gear if I recall. I don’t think he’s spending money on gear. He’s only wearing what he gets given which is why he’s never bothered to go with a Garmin with a chest strap for his HR.
He put it out there the other day for viewers to let him know which company he should hit up for freebies. I find it interesting that he’s never run in Tracksmith. They have given gear to a lot of reviewers (roadtrailrun and believe in the run are always reviewing their gear and racing in it). I’d be sure he’s hit them up but they must have said no.
Feel bad for his wife and kids. You just know when he's flying out of town and having these group meetups he's out looking for some cutie cult member he can take back to the hotel room. Happens way too often these influencers get caught balls deep in their fans. The temptation is too great.
