There were allegations that Alberto on an airplane tried to kiss Kara and had to be held back, want to say this was to the China Olympics. Obviously, this allegation is much worse. I do find this breaking news interesting and can't help thinking back to Kara's rant after the 16' thon trials and about losing baggage when she left Alberto.

I have said based on what had been presented I thought Salazaar got a raw deal on the safesport side when it appeared to be about fat "shaming". Obviously, this is something else. If this turns out to be true then obviously the decision was 100% warranted. I will say we need to see the facts come out on this but it sounds like there is not a denial that the allegations are real, just that ALSAL is claiming they are false.

As far as who this is, if true, it is almost certainly a woman. I think anyone suggesting it's a man is based on the creepy Galen, Alberto relationship. I would think it unlikely that this is Kara based on the overwhelming hatred her and Adam have for Al, if it was her I can't believe we wouldn't have already seen a criminal or civil lawsuit, plus this would have come to the surface much sooner after she left Alberto. Seems highly unlikely that they would have waited and allowed Alberto to continue to coach women for several years after Kara had left him. Although Alberto has probably been involved in this behavior before and it has not been reported, a sociopath rarely gets busted the first time they commit a crime, to me the likeliest scenario is that this was from someone he coached in the last few years before his ban.

But I didn't know something like this happened and thought he was just banned bc of the Mary Cain weight thing. I didn't approve of that but anyways wasn't sure if it merited a lifetime ban.

Who else would you possibly consider to be the victim of this smear campaign?

Can someone explain to me why AlSal would be giving massages in the first place? He is/was a coach for professional runners. I though the whole structure of the NOP was to provide physical therapy from pros in that area. Something doesn't fit here.

Have to agree. I've been a defender up until this point.

I think he was silent because he did not the accusations to become public, or that he was not allowed to speak about them until a ruling was made.

If it were me, I wouldn't want them out there, whether they were true or false.
