allegedly
NY Times.
Not trustworthy at all.
The allegation is a lie.
Read the article, murky at best. That's not to say, though, what may or may not have occurred. If he does not file any type of suit or protest, then credibility could be assumed for the accuser.

lol if NYT and NPR aren't trustworthy no journalism outfits are. those are about the only two good ones with reporting standards left.

Maybe he was the receiver.
The case against Salazar was pursued by the United States Center for SafeSport, an organization that investigates reports of abuse within Olympic sports. SafeSport ruled Salazar permanently ineligible in July 2021, finding that he had committed four violations, which included two instances of penetrating a runner with a finger while giving an athletic massage.
what a freak lol
It sounds like the NYT has seen the ruling but will not print details out of respect for the victim(s). Another outlet, likely a British publication, will probably publish those details in the coming days without qualms. I agree with stan the corgi, if Salazar doesn't fight in court, then the accusations are likely true.
Word to the wise...have a freakin' third party LMT work on your athletes!

My money is on Mary Cain
When NYTimes and other M.S.M. lie, they do not lie with intent. Often, NYTimes and other M.S.M. companies repeat what their government sources say to them. For example sources at Pentagon or high ranking source at C.I.A. A character accusation like this, no doubt NYTimes has double sourced the story.

Why doesn't this man / boy come forward and make the case?

There is no difference. The MSM and the pols are all owned by the same Oligarchs.
NYTimes out and out lies plenty of times.
You give them way too much credit.
Shall we review all the lies they told to sell the Iraq War?

Both of these are corporate/gov't mouthpieces. One wonders if they even have dial-up internet access for their research.

The NYTimes is reporting on what was in the report, which as everyone around here knows had not been disclosed. This isn't investigate journalism; it's reporting And I'm willing to bet the findings say exactly what they say it does.

Anyone who wondered in multiple older threads late last Fall as to what “sexual misconduct” he was accused of committing or finding the definition and use of that term by SafeSport a reach should have a clear and compelling answer now. The action itself may be alleged, not proven behind a reasonable doubt in a criminal court, but the alleged act most certainly justifies being described as sexual misconduct or worse.
