Congrats Gidey and Cheptegei!! Huge accomplishments for both of them. That male announcer was so damn annoying, I was praying he would shut the hell up. He kept ranting about random crap instead of the race in front of us. The female announcer was great. Appreciated her contributions.
Three world records in three races this year.
Noice! Very, very noice!
On a hot night too. Sub-26 looks possible for him.
He looked great the entire time. His form did not change lol

.....and in much better weather and with a huge cheering crowd, and yadda, yadda, yadda.
What a beast.
Imagine being an elite toeing the start line with him.
OMG!!!
Amazing. Simply.

Weather.com says it's 82. No wonder he looks so sweaty.
With cooler weather, he certainly stands a chance for sub-26.
Amazing to see his even cadence. His form is so smooth. His mental strength is incredible. What a WR.

LET'S GO JOSHUA "MF" CHEPTEGEI
Bekele didn't have to outkick a light when he ran lol. I may sound like Skip Bayless on lebron james when it comes to this but this is not the same as Bekele's record. Bekele's record gets me hyped. makes me want to go out and run hard. This just seems like he was escorted to the finishline. I feel like Mo Farah could approach Bekele's record with this technology.
So who is Track and Field News athlete of year? Mondo or Joshua?
Joshua Cheptegei is absolutely bonkers.
boing boing boing
Big payday for the Italians.
It's all for naught. Mo Farah will DESTROY him in Tokyo.

Yeah but 25-30 degrees cooler for Bekele, which is a HUGE physiological advantage.
In the post-race interview, did they just ask him to give a statement of how the world needs to move past past Covid?...*Sigh*
He even emphasized COVID safety in his post-race interview. What a boss.
He didnt even look at the light and he would have easily broken the record without it. His pacing is insane just accept that he is the best 5000-10000m runner in the world right now and also EVER. He could probably destroy the HM as well

Yeah, that'll be Mo Farah next year, good luck with that Mo. Too late to change to the marathon?

Edris might have something to say about Farah.
