It's like the movie "Shattered Glass"; with a twist.. She started out with good intentions and became corrupted over time. If she runs a 4:30, 5, 6, 7 or 8 hour marathon, so what. If she does 242 of them in that range, that's also fine. IF. But it's very suspect considering she was her own race director for many of them. I am aware of two witnesses that observed her cheating at her own races. As a prior poster suggested, running or walking for exercise, is fine, and we shouldn't try and tear someone down-there are a lot of worse things out there. At the same time, if you pull a "Rosie Ruiz" at one of the World's most prestigious ultra running events, you deserve to be outed. Shame on the RD or anyone else who may know of cheating and refuses to admit or further investigate it.

I want to know who emailed Rojo asking for posts on this thread to be deleted.

I don't think anything has been yet. But there was a separate thread earlier from Rojo asking for a recap of this thread because they had been contacted by someone asking for certain posts on this thread to be deleted. Who asked and which posts were not specified.

My hunch is the OP figured this thread would get Page 1 play for about 6 hours and wanted to vent.

If I was the OP, this thread would have exceeded my wildest dreams.

When you google PM this thread is the first result.

I don't think its' the OP. I think its Larry, PM or Steve-o. But to be honest, it could be Reputation.com... didn't one of those online identity protector places keep trolling the Kip Litton tread?

As a side bar, for everyone comparing splits of PM with the other back of the packers, guys and gals splits vary, and I think tahts where the guy doing the eval of PM compared to other female runners was onto something.

A 2:20 marathon from a guy is awesome but also pretty ho-hum in elite racing. A 2:20 marathon from a gal is best of the best.

Even in the back of the pack, a similar extrapolation is fair.

I sent a note to the contact on the Badwater site...I am not an ultra runner and have retired from full marathons but hate cheaters.

Are you aware that Parvaneh Moayedi cheated this year at your race?

You can see all the damning evidence laid out here...her splits are wacky and waaay too fast for her ability at the end.

Why would you not DQ her? Other RDs are being made aware of her tactics and are issuing DQs.

Seems like you would want to uphold the integrity of this race.

DO NOT involve Larry Macon in this. It will not be worth your while.

Given how LM keeps making side-bar appearances here, I think someone who knows something to kick stuff off should start a thread on him. I just don't know anything about him.

But I agree. This thread is about PM, and regardless of what cheater we discuss, I feel one cheater per thread is about as much as anyone can follow.

Our other threads on other cheaters typically result in the runner admitting error (that gal leading in some CA marathon) or getting a DQ.

The only threads that really seem to have staying power are the ones where the cheater stonewalls.

Kippy was one. And now Parvaneh Moayedi, Badwater 135 cheater, is another.

Hopefully the Badwater 135 RD Chris Kostman will DQ her.

Nothing "litigious" there regarding LM I would have thought, in fact quite the opposite. Unfortunately no one's come forward with an explanation, otherwise this thread would have died a natural death long before it went viral and headed off on to various tangents.

But then again, I'm not in the US so I don't fully understand the US legal system.
