I'm sure the RD has already spoken to them, so somebody has to know what they reported?
What has her own crew reported about the matter?
If she did indeed have an amazing and legitimate comeback from behind performance, that's the kind of thing legends are made of. If I were the RD, I'd want to validate the results by interviewing anyone and everyone on the last 44 miles of the race as soon as possible. It would be a box office smash if indeed she pulled this off like we are being asked to believe she did. The publicity a verified feat like that could bring to race would be amazing!

The RD is worrying about trying to get his permit back from the Parks Dept. Only way he addresses PM's situation is if it gets into the media.
Note that mile 45-59 is the same course as the 108-122. So let's look at some things here:
Mile 45-59 pace: 17:09 (I basically gave her a 2 hour 30 min off while she admittedly (race report) took at 2.5 hour nap). So her time in this section was 6:44. Minus the 2:30 and you are left with 4:14. So, she went 14 miles in 4:14 min = 18:08. Now this is the PM we all know and love.
So, in the flatter parts of the course, here is her pace (removing Horseshoe Meadows, Cerro Gordo and Mt Whitney) at various locations.

Mile 75-91 : 24:22 (this is where she got desperate)
Mile 91-122: 18:01 (this is where the cheating happened)
Yes, suddenly 6 min per mile faster coming back into town. She was literally death marching it at mile 75-91. This is the last time Darren actually saw her on the out and back and she was over 2 hours behind him yet!
All this late race speediness is occurring when she went unaccounted for on the course. The race officials could not locate her and were asking the other crews what they knew about her location. Two runners whom she would have had to physically pass and both admit she never passed them during this section. Plus, a runner sees her get into a minivan at Mile 103 never to return and/or pass him.
This is math that is supported by facts and eye witness accounts. Suddenly she gets 6 min per mile FASTER on the 33 mile flatter section (91-122) coming into town?
I know. I know. She is the negative splitter and ran the race smart. Whatever.
So. 5 seconds into this video. This amazingly fit and world class runner started running 6 min per mile faster and went so fast nobody actually saw her.

Kostman, get a clue. You know she cheated. Try and "Pull a Joe" and actually have some damn respect for your race and its reputation. DQ her and be done with this.
Wow, that really puts it into perspective. 6 min per mile faster for the final 30 plus miles after zombie walking to mile 91 is again, world class. Was that 92 octane gas in the Dodge Caravan?
Stepping back. How do you think a 6-7 hour walker finishes Badwater without cheating? The athletes that come to Badwater are some of the fittest people around. They are tough as nails. They don't walk marathons. They RUN marathons. They RUN ultra marathons. They certainly don't walk 6-7 hour marathons. They actually met the qualifications honestly. They don't get to make up their race times. PM obviously knows zero about ultras or she would have never put her finish times like she did. None of them are realistic and this thread has blown holes in every one of her races.
PM's 100 mile qualifying races were two of her own, and the RR 100. We all know she cheated at all three and didn't finish one of them. The RR 100 DQ'd her for cheating. Yay Joe!
So, to think that she can finish BW is a joke. The woman cheats all over this country.

FYI of the last runners that finished ahead of (6 total), 3 of them are from the US (two are Darren Fortney & Thomas Zaide) and the other 3 are from Singapore and the final two runners are from France.

I think the better question is how many cheaters actually do it and what the profile is of each. My guess is that the vast majority are average Joe type guys and gals just trying to have a go at it. Most people don't care if you cheat your way from 7 hours down to 6. It's only the high profile runners who get the media attention, but they only represent a very small percentage of the whole.
If anyone already sliced and diced the numbers this way, I apologize. I don't care to go back through all 77 pages to see, but on a whim, I decided to see how PMs times for each split compared to JUST THE FEMALE FINISHERS. Here is how that turned out:

Wow! I don't think anyone has done the gals to gals comparison, at least not that I remember, good idea to do so, and that is Freaking Insane!!!
The toughest hill there is, after 100 miles on your legs, and she busts out elite splits.

I suppose the Badwater 135 RD Chris Kostman can point to the 23:00 flat 100 she ran at own race as evidence of her talent, but he sure can't point to her RR100 finish since that result earned a DQ.

Nobody claimed Thomas never ran by them. Nobody saw Thomas get into a van and race into town. Thomas does not have a black cloud over his head for any of his races in his life that I can see.
