Steve, do you really want a defamation lawsuit? In such a case, you and Parvaneh would be disposed and have to give sworn testimony that all her marathons pre and post Guinness record attempt were legitimate in addition to that one year's races.
Are you prepared to do that?
I'm gonna guess how this happens and would like Steeve H to confirm or deny -- PM allows "special" people (like maybe aKA LM) to "run" anytime - day or nite - and maybe not even the whole distance at a time or even on the official course and not necessarily on the "real" race day. Then the "special" people/person (could be its only the one special guy with the $$$) gives PM the"result" time and for a price - WHA-LA the "special" get official results posted. Like how else did they get their records? I'm not saying that they aren't out on the course at "some" point, but these people are not legitimately participating in races...and yes for all the encouragement and support PM provides yada yada - there are plenty of questionable/shady practices that're finally coming to light. Again, running like this is fine if it's for fun or personal goals, but when you turn in these types of results for Guiness world records, that's a real shame. I'd say it's all about $$ and ego....just follow the $$$ because the LM guy has had miraculous marathons all over the map for years but the big numbers came with the iran marathons. --hay just another thought, maybe LM has given Steve H some $$ as well. Steve, care to deny or confirm my guess?
Whatever the answer, it will be an interesting one for sure.
And damn, I thought the Kip Litton saga was out there, but this case is looking pretty intriguing.
And Bill Handel, it's "deposed", but you're right a defamation suit would get messy fast.

This started with Larry Macon running two marathons the same Saturday morning 1000 miles apart. Anti Onion said they explained that Larry actually ran the San Antonio one on Friday. But he ran another Bear Lake marathon in Idaho on Friday. I postulated that he could have run San Antonio on Sunday. I bet that's what happened and either Anti Onion was told incorrectly or he incorrectly relayed it.
In any case, those Persia Marathons are something between a real race and just running 26 miles and having a fried vouch for you.
And it all falls apart.
OP, Are you going to deny any of Steve's accusations? You seem to have disappeared.

All speculation about cheating in the races aside...If you take the year in which she got the guinness record for most amount of races in a year she averaged 85 mpw of just the races themselves. That's got to be one of the most absurd things I've ever heard of.
I haven't looked up her times for these so-called marathons, but unless she walked every one of them, I don't see how you could do that without injury.

According to her website she also ran Badwater last year. I verified it on the badwater.com as well. At 135 miles thats over 5 marathons in less than 48 hours.

I don't know anything about this gal, but just looked at her website. The 2014 results page is going to a broken link right now... that definitely seems fishy since the rest of the site is up.
The 2013 results are kinda crazy. 143 races offered? I clicked on the top link for the last race of Dec - 9 starters/8 finishers in the full, and 3 in the half. Hmmm. Sounds like a group run to me, I guess people pay for them?
I can't believe this to be honest- just clicked the register link for an upcoming one, and it looks like all half and full marathons are $80? She includes a shirt and a medal and powered, but with 8-9 runners? Serioulsy?? Who pays $80 for this?
I don't get the business model, I guess if there are people who want to chase records or whatever, thats who run these?
I know I've run some pretty random small races when I'm traveling and just looking for something close, but those are usually charity 5ks or the like, and you can walk up with a $20.
This whole thing is just strange.
