I’m actually in RI but have a cabin in the Western Maine mountains. Lived in Maine however full time for about 10 years in the 1990’s. Love it there. Thus the Jeep and FJ. For some reason I’ve never been partial to anything German, either autos or bikes. No idea why. The British cars I’ve owned can be a problem for sure but I have a good mechanic for anything I can’t seem to fix myself. The GT6 has had a rebuilt motor and differential, new brakes, tires etc. just had a lot of body work and new paint. Paid 4K for it in 2001 probably put 10 to 15K into it since. I think I’m at roughly break even on it given that the values have gone up the past several years. Not many around anymore as they mostly all rusted out and ended up in the junk yard. Only a 2 liter overhead cam motor with dual strombergs but it’s a blast to drive. Like a go kart at only a few inches off the pavement. I had one in college back in 74 drove it to Florida on spring break. Once I got into Florida I averaged over 100 MPH from the state line to Ft. Lauderdale. What a blast.
